Good luck at docs, many yrs ago as a kid, they did my allergy testing at the hospital clinic, they did a grid on my back in ink bit like noughts and crosses, dropped a drop of liquid in each square, then must waited a small amount of time, they come back and have a look if you are allergic it goes to a bubble, the 2nd method they also use is blood test, as that can show allergies.

Apparently I was allergic to cats and grass.

Weird thing at the time we had a cat, I was ok with him, yet at the same time my aunty had a cat and I would come home from seeing them with streaming eyes, and rashes everywhere.

They do the allergy testing up the arm on adults (Dr Dragon had it done about 5 years ago), it tends to be done in hospital just in case you have bad reaction to anything.

Well done on the still no smoking BTW!

mine were on my back over 3 days, one day they were put on, next day removed, day after checked (i think, can't remember if they took them off on the 3rd or 2nd day) only problem was not being able to get your back wet for those 3 days. I'm allergice to nickel, lanoline, cobalt choride and people i work with who's names begin with C. Ok well not officially the later i didn't need a test for that one! lol

Afternoon all....Well went to Drs and she's referred me to the dermatologist at Lytham hospital...the appointment is 9th October...good how they can make an appointment while you wait.
Whilst there I mentioned my arthritis playing up and that paracetamol wasn't touching it at all...and asked if there is anything else I could possibly take ..she said co-codamol...I already have the strong ones at home(the ones with the sedative in).Obviously I can't take those during the day as I drive so she gave me a prescription for 200 of the lower dose ones so that I can manage to drive with them. The reason she gave me that many is because I pay for prescriptions and that way I'd get my moneys worth....they should keep me going a long time..lol...
Then nipped and did the banking, got the cooked meats and some reduced fish from Asda...filled up at Tescos (for the points)...and nipped to my mates for a natter and a brew.....just come home now and feel quite chilled out.
  • Hi Taxi,

Well done with the no smoking, you are doing marvellously well.

Do you find that the change in the weather affects your arthritis? Hope that the tablets help.

Fantastic news on the earnings the other day, you must have been shattered when you'd finished.

    Take it easy hun. xx
