But that just goes in with the rest of the post.

Very little point in Recorded whatsoever these days.

No use for important documents or anything of value. If custardy or keith99 are going to pinch it, that won't stop them ;)

Anyway, first class just means it will get there....oh....sometime before second class. You can't expect them to pay Adam Crozier megabucks AND offer a god service can you??

Dont get me going about Crozier.:rotfl:

I would like to see someone get it cheaper than £4.60. I understand most, if not all other services are much more expensive and very unreliable.
The trouble with Royal Mail is that apparantly all us posties pinch everything!
Just out of interest, today i saw 2 separate parcels delivered by Home Delivery Network (both from Amazon) left on doorsteps. We all know (well me and custardy do) who will get the blame if they go missing!

i handle over £250,000 a day in SD's for just one bank a day ;)
if i was gonna steal it would be their SD's and straight on a plane :D

I wish amazon would go back to using Royal Mail- last week the delivery woman of some delivery network chucked our parcel over the back fence in the rain- we only knew it was there when our postman knocked on the door to tell us!

Complain to Amazon! If enough people do they *may* take notice.
We had exactly the same thing happen to us...

Pay the £4.60, as the earlier poster said it just seems a lot because you don't do it often, but it's not that expensive really. Well, it costs me that much to just get into my nearest town & back...

They do still use Royal Mail (had an item delivered today from Royal Mail that I ordered off Amazon). Larger items get sent by a courier like they have always done but now they use Home Delivery Network rather than DHL because they are cheaper.

Doesn't SD go in with the rest too? I saw the programme on Channel 4 once.

Plus SD comes with the same postie on the same round with the normal post (unless it's a big box which will come in a van). :D

Oh and £4.60 is a bargain!
