  • Happy New Year to the Hypno Household and everyone here.

We have been busy today celebrating oldest twins 18th where did that time go?

We had some news a few days ago that our income is seriously under threat so have decided to sell our house here and our house in Lanzarote. Have been tidying the house tonight ready for the estate agent coming tomorrow. Can't believe we are doing this but needs must. The upside will be if we do manage to sell both we will be debt free and mortgage free:j:j. Also as we will be moving to an area with better schools won't have to pay school fees so our expenditure will be significantly reduced. So may be cheating on the pay off 40k by Xmas 09 challenge but I shall keep going as best as I can in case the houses don't sell.

    Love to all

gosh, DT, what a lot of things have been happening in your household! Tough decisions to be made (or have been made) by the sounds of things. I hope that things go according to plan, and you don't have to wait too long for a buyer. It sounds, though, as if you could reduce a lot of life's stressors if it all goes through, although it may well be a bit of a bumpy ride to get to the other side.

So, good luck with everything, I hope that 2009 works out well for you and your family. It is nice to see you back again, and I hope you are able to pop in from time to time despite the hecticness of life!

Good morning - scratchcards done, and another mean day with 10p being the best available.

Three loan payments come out today so I can amend my signature, redo my snowball and colour in some boxes - always a satisfying thing to do!

I have a day off work today so lots of MSE time with a teeny weeny bit of housework and lots of coffee thrown in. I need to go for a run to loosen up my legs after yesterday's race as well.

Hope you all have a good day x

Morning! Yep, you got my scratchcards, lol! Tho I thought I had an extra pound, I must say.... are you sure you didn't get one? I'm going to colour in a couple of boxes today - part of my Christmas gifts that I'm applying to debt.

    Have a good one, Hypno.

Oh, didn't notice the extra £ - might log back in again to see.....

I have done the banking and my debt is now £687.99 less than it was yesterday so that is pretty positive - it means I can colour in a fair few squares......but I am a fair way off my £2000 debt reduction target for January, so need to get my thinking cap on so that I have a chance of getting there!

My egg loan now stands at £10,217.87 so this month I will certainly, somehow, manage to get that down below £10k which will feel good - this is my current target for any overpayments because I just want rid of them!

It is not an easy one to find - go into "play bingo" and then pick the panel to the left hand side which is one of the bingo rooms - it looks like a normal bingo room, but just above the "chat" panel is a square that says "lucky break" or something - that is your free scratch bit.....they just don't make it easy to find!

    Good Morning

Well done on the run yesterday Hypno and how lovely to spend the rest of the day as a family.

Seems really strange here with just DH and I. Kids will be home on Sunday and then it will be a mad dash to be ready for work and school on Monday.

Haven't looked at finances yet - putting that off till next week when hopefully things will have settled a bit.

have a good day today - don;t drink toooooooooo much coffee !!!!
  • Thanks - found it duly collected my 20p for the day!! Works out 67.50 a year!
