    Absolutely...

I spy another chapter coming as this one is reaching 200 pages!

First one to hit the 200 page mark gets... an... ego boost?!

    I'm home!

Tired from a long journey, and skint (what's new there then!) but we have had a good week.

We tried to keep the cost down as much as possible - we self catered entirely except for one lunch......everything was so expensive that we had little choice, and I did wonder whether we might actually have spent the same amount going full board in one of the hotels......something to investigate for next time I think.

Other stuff was just too expensive to contemplate - swimming was 21 euros EACH!!!!! Just imagine £20 for a swim!!! No way!!! So we had to content ourselves with UNO championships in the apartment and watching the supply of DVDs we had taken with us to watch on the laptop. I read three out of the four books I had taken with me, so that is three dooyoo reviews I need to do!

So, we went over budget, but we couldn't have done much to avoid it really, without starving ourselves.....as I said, we only had one meal out, and that was at lunchtime to keep it to a minimum, as the evening meal menus are more expensive.

We missed our ferry back this morning, so that meant we missed our connection at Victoria, but I was able to transfer our tickets for a minimal charge so apart from just being several hours late home, it was not too much of a costly delay.

I need to get right back on top of the MSE stuff though - when I have had a good sleep I will make a plan of action......although I have the marathon next weekend which is also likely to be fairly costly I expect.

Real life........why can't it be cheap

Hope you have all had a good week in my absence - I will try and catch up, but if anyone has a quick synopsis..........??

Thankfully the children didn't craze for the swimming......but I WAS horrified at the cost. When we went to the neighbouring resort last year, it was just under 4 euros each to swim, which is fine - they can go as and when they please, but for 21 euros, I expect WaterWorld or something similar, with free ice creams thrown in!!

Well, the ironing board is up

In his defence, he has worked every day in his second job, as well as his main one, so not much time for ironing......and he has started to talk about clearing the garden, so I am going to sieze that one quick!!

Hypno, glad you're back safe & sound. Was thinking about you earlier as I drove along 'your road' in Norwich. I've decided you're not allowed to live there. Lovely houses, but even bearing in mind the length of the drives, it is too busy. However, some of the roads off 'your road' may be permitted. Happy to volunteer for house hunting when the time comes ;)
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Ah yes, some of the roads off that road are definitely within the acceptable area :D

One day, when you drive down there, you will be able to pop in for a coffee

All I need now is to colour in a few more squares!!
