Thats weird that you haven't lost any weight *still*, Hypno .... there was a Horizon documentary on recently about the way different people respond to different amounts of food - they pretty much proved there's a genetic component to it - between internal fat, metabolic rate, level of activity, that sort of thing - complicated, but it was really interesting. Maybe you're at the right weight for you?

The economy thing sounds downright scary ..... Shaun, as more details come out of the Irish budget, I hope that your situation isn't as bad as you've calculated.....

Hypno - sorry to hear about the funeral, hope you're okay.

Yes, I am ok - it is the funeral of someone both OH and I have worked with over the years....one of those "do I/don't I" sort of funerals where it doesn't really matter as such whether we go or not, IYSWIM? But the balance is tipped in favour of us going, so we will, and will stand at the back. It is just a shame that another person has gone before they were really ready.........

And as for the weight - I wouldn't mind if I were a size 8 or 10 and not losing any weight - but I am officially "overweight" anyway, so should surely be able to lose half a stone at least by the extra exercise and more healthy eating

If I were at my healthy BMI I would accept it more I think.....GAH!!!!!

I'm alright thank you! How about you?? I am so ready for my holiday on Friday....haven't started to pack yet, but will no doubt throw enough things in a bag before I go! DD has got my skis ready so that is the main thing!

Dooyoo has been slower for me this month - I wanted to aim for my next payout by the end of April, but I am only at £20 towards it......never mind, I will write lots of reviews over the next few weeks and catch up by the end of May.

Running is going well - I did 18 miles on Saturday - only a couple of weeks now until marathon day......I just want it to happen now!!

And that is about it - still skint, still in debt, still tired........yada yada yada!!!

You could always tell people you are too short for your weight and should really be nine foot seven......Anyway, all that skiing should take some weight off - as long as you don't have too much gluhwein, fondue, pastries etc afterwards....

Sorry, rude of me folks - good morning all!

Nargle, I am the only person in the world who comes back from a ski trip heavier than they went.....All my friends lose 3-5lbs easy, but I just love the food too much.......:o

Right, best get working......meeting at 9.

Where are you off on hols?? Have missed that bit.

Dooyoo is the bane of my life I am so close to payout but struggle to think of things to review. Surely there are hundreds of things in my house I can review. I can talk and write for England normally but the thought of people rating me makes my brain freeze lol

unfortunately it does they are cutting the pre school child benefit
this is worth €1000 so 2 kids €2000 = 184 per month plus
new taxes 7-9 per wk x2
    ni up 2% =5 pwk
all hell has let loose here this morning as people realise how much the budget will hurt them,,,
the gov keeps quoteing the ave family earning 50k a yr
yet 40% of working family's earn below 30k
(i know these figs seem high to the uk,,our cost of living index is 30% higher then the uk)
papers are calling it the budget from hell, robbing b*st***s,eth
think their might be a bit of a back lash!!!
the budget was a tax budget, very little done to curb gov, spending

dont think they worked out how many people they are forcing onto the dole or out of homes,,

I hope there *is* a backlash, they might lay off some of those measures, to judge from what Gordon Brown has U-turned on.

the politicians over here are to thick to pick up on a back lash!!
    do a term in office get a pension for life,do a 2nd term get a 2nd pension.
    do a 3rd term retire at 50+ yrs . on 180k+++
    why would they worry!!
plus FF know they have fcuk up the country over the last 12yrs.
they know they will be voted out
so it wont be their problem!!!!

dont forget this was an emergency budget!!! we still have another one to come later in the year..
