I got my long awaited ipod!!! About time - just 3 months or so after everyone else!!! I also got a bag of sweets.....but no ninja, sadly.

Still, it means that all that reviewing paid off - we now all have a qype ipod (except DS, who didn't do any reviews) so it was well worth the effort!

Hurray for qype goodies finally showing up. I haven't cashed in my Virgin voucher on the wines thing - the challenge that (I think) just Seaxwyn, Panda and I did. Must do that soon.

Shaun - thats a scary budget. It does make me think about them trying stuff out on Ireland, see how much folks don't like it. I hope there are enough loopholes for you to get through.

Shaun - worrying financial news from Ireland. Looks like that cardboard box is getting nearer to reality? (as in "We used to dream of living in a cardboard box...")

Just done a dooyoo review :D

Re the economy thing - I don't suppose I would mind too much WHAT they announced, as long as I had confidence in it working.....sadly, nothing that our Government have announced so far gives me anything like that confidence.....and I am sure that is the same for most people.

We don't mind the pain if it does the job......

very true point,, but my income is down by 25% and even if i could work everyone's paying minimum wage and no over time,
i guessing here but it wouldn't surprise me if 60% of workers here were on minimum wage,,
cant see where i can claw that sort of money from!!
however on a bright point maybe with no work available more of the migrant workers will go home, leaving a void and forcing employers to pay a little higher wage..
A year before they opened the borders the only work force you could get here was eu citizens on work permits,,min wage at the time was 7-20 and most paying 7-80,,
our local shopping centre couldn't get workers and was offering E11 an hour in sept..
in jan all advertising of jobs stopped waiting for 1st may,,wage advertized 7-20 p hr,,
well its bit them in the bum big time!!
    greedy sods!!
rant over i think just really depressed!!

Morning - two more days until holiday....

50p on the scratchcards today, so that's ok......nothing scary appearing in online banking either, which is good too. Today marks 6 full weeks without chocolate......only a few days to go and I can nosh away to my hearts delight.......I didn't lose a single lb when I was not eating chocolate, and have not lost any weight through running, so I might as well stay the same weight and eat the stuff I like best

I have a funeral to go to at lunchtime, which is not so much fun, but has to be done.....

Hope you all have a good day x
