Inky - many people don't ever walk 2.5 miles in a day, so don't put yourself down! That's pretty good! Not everyone is mad enough to train for a marathon :o

Morning Hypno, thanks for that, it's really the only exercise I do & I do try to go everyday & have been so far this year (I know it's only 8 days in but  )apart from Monday, where I cut it short 'cos it was too windy.

All credit to you for entering the marathon though

Hope everyone has a good day

Thanks inky - I am really looking forward to the marathon (apart from the fact it is only 3 and a half months away, and I need to do a whole lot more running before then!).

But as usual I have set myself silly targets - I want to get round in a certain time, and I am not sure it is achievable, so I have to keep reminding myself to be realistic.........but I'm not very good at that

But thats your strength - that you're not in the common mould of "realistic" :j :j :j

Got a little bit of fresh air at lunchtime, so feel a little more awake - still some way to go though!

You might remember I signed up to the 100 day challenge - well, I am doing ok - no shop bought coffee or lunches and we are on day 8.....so only 92 days to go

  • Ironing now I am really worried about you. Far too early in January (or any month for that matter) to be doing ironing. I am on a 100 day challenge too - not to touch the iron for at least 100 days - its in the bag that's one challenge I can do :rotfl:

Impressed with your commitment to the running though and I am sure the marathon will go great don't push too hard.
