Morning Hypno, hope your first day back goes ok.
I am dreading going back tomorrow, been off since Xmas Eve and feel completely out of work mode.Proud to be dealing with my debts - DFW No: 712
03/09/09 - DEBT FREE AT LAST
Racing Hypno to Save - £10/£50000 -
It's not too bad being back - I was here between Christmas and New Year, so it is not that long since I was at my desk really. One year I will treat myself to the whole of the Christmas fortnight off..........**dreams**.
I signed up last week for the 100 day challenge - no coffees on my way into work, and no shop bought lunches etc (unless I have vouchers, or they are mystery shop ones.....).
So the first 4 days in January were a success because I wasn't at work, and today has been fine so far - fake cappuccino, and cheese sarnies brought in from home. But I am craving something sweet, so have to resist going and buying a bar of chocolate or a flapjack...........why are these things never easy!
I am also aiming for a NSD today - I have a supermarket mystery shop, so can use my expenses for the odd bits and pieces I need, so that won't count as spoiling the NSD.....Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Morning Hypno & All!
Does anyone else feel like they'd rather be in bed this morning? Back to work after two weeks off is a lot harder than expected!!!!! Thank goodness most of the staff don't come back until tomorrow/Wednesday.
Breakfast this morning was a cuppa & a handful of Celebrations -- Bad holiday habits not yet laid to rest!
Hypno, am using your packed lunch goal as motivation -- there is a healthy lunch of pitta & hummus in the fridge, am determined not to fall into the expensive sandwich trap again this year. Any creative lunchbox ideas would be greatfully received...
Have just given the boss his pile of post-Christmas follow-ups, should keep him quite long enough for another cuppa & a sneak around MSEland & check for some mystery shops.
Have a good day all!

A belated Happy New Year Hypno and co!!
Work was stupidly busy just before Christmas - we have 3 really busy times here, either side of Christmas, August and around my birthday - not exactly what you need when you want time off. Did manage 24th-1st off though (the whole place shuts down between Christmas and New Year so no choice there) and had a good break although lots of travelling as family are all down south and I was shattered - so anyway have missed MSE for a few weeks, but having a quick catch up now.
Well done on all the running and all your money making/saving :T. I've decided stratchcards are something I need to try - I won't have time until the weekend but I'll investigate properly then, and what clickthroughs are available at the moment - need to boost my money made as trying to boost my savings desperately .
We had horrible snow and ice at home, but at work 15 miles away it's fine - fickle weather...Initial Mortgage January 2024 - £160,000

Hi YL and happy new year to you too!
Just checked my diary, and my mystery shop is not until Thursday! Good job I checked before I went and did it, otherwise it would have been a wasted effort.....d'oh!
Need more coffee.................:oSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Hypno .... why don't you pack something sweet in your lunch? If it was me, I know what I'd answer - it wouldn't last, and I'd eat too much sweet stuff. I'm just wondering what it is for you?2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Hiya all, the snow here has caused several accidents. There was a car in someones hedge when I went to the doctors at 8.30 this morning. Side roads were not gritted. Another car on the roundabout had a buckled wheel. My car slid a bit at the back end on our road. But I think my "accident" was getting my foot caught in the edge of the bedspread and landed heavily on both knees and my left arm/wrist (yes I know my bad arm!!), my back is also aching now. It doesnt help as the bedroom is only floorboards so it was heavy and hurt!. I want to go and have a soak in the bath, but I am still awaiting ASDA delivery. Infact I reckon I will telephone yet again to see where they are!!When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0

Hi Hypno
Thanks for saying it was a double scratchcard day today, cos I had only done one! If I press F5 and it's not a double day it boots me out of IE
so I don't very often do it.
Does anyone know why daily mail b!ngo don't do double days?
