Blimey you lot can talk ;)

I didn't make it to yoga tonight... why does everyone I need to speak to at work suddenly want to talk to me when I should be getting home? Maybe I should start going in at 4pm...

DW now working, although I have to find out from the builder why the socket is in the middle of the wall some way away from the DW, so the flex will have to trail across a gap I want to put stuff in... I think I need to draw on the walls, as he's also plugged the freezer in above the work surface (that'll be handy when I want to move it!) and it looks as if the MW flex will be coming down from the unit to the socket... surely they should all be in the units behind the appliances?!

Lil_me - I'd really like one of the organic mattresses, but they're a bit pricey, and I have an organic mattress topper (well, I'm getting one from santa hopefully :D ). I don't really get on with memory foam - I had a pillow for a bit, but have since traded it in for an organic spelt one, which is even more comfy!

I sent my receipts off for my expenses today (over £300 so I can probably afford to pay for a new bed when that clears!), and posted my first batch of cards.

Trying to summon up the energy to finish loading the DW and set it off, put away the piles of clean laundry on my bed and then make a start on today's list.

    Catch you all later...

greenbee - i hate doing my expenses. We have to put 2 different codes on the form for everything too, one for the organisation and one relating to the funders code. *shudders just thinking about it*

  • Decided i'm deleting my completed jobs rather than scoring out as it makes my list look shorter :D Does anyone else feel this thread is brill by getting you motivated and it's a great support network, but it's also a pain in the a**e coz you spend what could have been a good half hour/hour of flying time just catching up with the thread!! But wouldn't have it any other way coz it's great hearing hoe everyone is doing! xx

Rach - do you also find it impossible to locate the receipts, forget to photocopy them (HR seem to lose them regularly) and have an on-line system that takes FAR longer than filling in a spreadsheet used to (mind you, at least it does have a drop down menu for all the expense codes, which helps!). My boss keeps telling me to do them more often... my theory is I should do less that involves running up expenses!

DW on, notes written on utility room walls re. sockets... hopefully he won't take offense (and I'll remember to get up early and leave before he gets here :o

Will have to go to Ik*a in the NY to get inside bits for units once I've decided what's going where and what insidey bits I need. Still it'll be nice to just get the stuff out of the garage. Fingers crossed he speeds up a bit and has it done by the end of the week!
