I'm the same. I wouldn't mind if I was constantly scoffing biccies, chocolates, cake, etc, but I don't. Have you had your thyroid checked?
but.........if you dont eat enough your body starts to think there's a famine and so when you do eat it stores it all as fat to keep it going on the days when food might be in short supply - like a camel does with storing water for later use.
so by not eating enough calories you can actually put on weight.
    hope that makes sense!
    toots xx
ETA if you continually eat less than 1000 calories a day you will not lose weight - but you will lose muscle mass first!!! not good!!!!
    Peace will be mine

And it makes me think to all those negative people who put us under so much pressure work wise, well their influence only extends in work time and we haven't allowed them to encroach on our personal time, they could have easily wrecked our weekend and been 'in our heads' but we didn't let them.:D
Well said - and well done
thought I didn't have the right to post here as "I hadn't done any flying",
    erm it never stops me;)

AnWsMum you are doing a FANTASTIC job with those two kiddies and in the face of great adversity if that's the support you get...
My ex MIL (younger than your ILs) refused to get on the bus and come here ... didn't drive. Came twice when she was brought here...some people are pathetic IMHO...

BTW DS doesn't smoke - but he hates being hot...

Good evening all. I am soooooo tired, this working lark is going to take a bit of getting used to lol.
Need to think of something for tea now, luckily DP has fed the kids so I dont have to come up with something for them aswell.
Have hung washing around and put another load in WM, must get that hung up and another load done before bed or else I will be drowning in washing by the end of the week.
glad you survived your day -I am sure you will get into a routine soon - even if you can meal plan for the days you are working it will be one thing less to think about when you come in!
    when do you start proper?

    Welcome new people
And hugs to the poorly one
Mudders - hope you have a lovely day tomorrow
AnW'smum - hugs to you too - in laws can be sooo difficult at times.

My bedroom is now well and truly Dysoned - feel much better having taken it all out on the carpet.

Boddy and Toots - yes, a difficult day at work. The job I was supposed to be doing wasn't ready after all! So they've replanned and put me on another project. I've told them they're going to have to let my line manager at the new site know because I'm not! But, I have been pragmatic and said I'll work there until Christmas as I'm the expert on the other project they've decided to put me on. But, it seems they've found me some desks. Today I was in one office. Tomorrow I'm in another and then I may have a permanent place on Wednesday for the rest of my stay there. Which, unfortunately, is in a building in which dogs aren't allowed but hey, I'll be with the top brass! :D

But, I'm now off for that well earned medicinal G&T!

AnWsMum, I find myself in a similar situation, Dh had a car accident 4 years ago and his parents didnt speak to him or I, when the accident happened MIL and FIL were devestated and i suppose they blamed me, they dont speak to me or the children we arent even acknowledged!!! They give off constantly at the hospital where DH is and now they have fallen out with FILs mother who is 82 just because she sends the kids cards for their birthdays.....Some people are just horrid, and they are the ones who are missing out on their grandchildren (they have 4 other grandchildren who live in Canada and a fifth one who lives in manchester, we btw live in Northern Ireland!)

Home from a bad, bad day. Five hour shift with no break (yes I know illegal and I should've just walked off, but I had a locum on, and chckouts where suppose to take me off, but no-one came to say they couldn't) was not a good start, then, when I eventually got home, I had to go out to the estate agent people to get the postbox key to copy (I snapped it in the lock last week) and walked all over town to different key cutters, but no-one had the style I needed, so I orders it and goes back to tell them I'll have to keep the key and the woman told me that they couldn't get one either, useful information methinks. Then I gots proper home and tidied the kitchen (which I have promptly messed up with tea). ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!! Right stresses over,

    WELCOME NEWBIES!!!!!!!

AnW's Mum - I have some friends like your inlaws (I do all the contact work...they do....nada) I have come to the s*d them conclusion, suppose you can't really do that. I'm glad your strong enough to be nice to them even though they don't sound very nice...your a fab example to your wee little 'uns.

Lady Liberty - Good lucks for tomorrow, hope you maage to get all the info you need.

Okay, going to strip the bed and have a shower. Watching Dark Knight tonight...Yay!
