Oh marvellous! I feel like carp (but I have done the ironing ready so far - TD on as I type - that's never a chore) and DS has decided to wrap his xmas gifts and needs me to help. Just what I feel like doing - not.
What I HAVE to do sharpish is go and get my bank card...they shut at 4!
As I haven't taken my tablets I am off to the bathroom more frequently - I have virtually decided not to go to work tomorrow - my head just is not where it should be...

Just used my ebay voucher (£3) to purchase something for £3.29 with free P&P so a nice little xmas gift for me from the kids for 29p

If I decorate my house perfectly with plaid bows,
strands of twinkling lights and shiny balls,
but do not show love to my family
I'm just another decorator.

If I slave away in the kitchen, baking dozens of
Christmas puddings, preparing gourmet meals
and arranging a beautifully adorned table at
mealtime, but do not show love to my family
I'm just another cook.

If I work at the soup kitchen, carol in the nursing
home and give all that I have to charity,
but do not show love to my family,
it profits me nothing.

I have missed the point.

Love stops the cooking to hug the child.
Love sets aside the decorating to kiss the husband.

coordinated Christmas china and table linens.
Love doesn't yell at the kids to get out of the
way, but is thankful they are there to be in the way.
Love doesn't give only to those who are able to

but rejoices in giving to those who can't.

all things, endures all things. Love never fails.
Computer games will break, cashmere jumpers
will wear out, golf clubs will get lost.
But giving the gift of love will endure.

Lil-me - do you remember when we were talking about Megan the other weekend and I said I'd have to make that decision soon about one of my dogs, Brandy? Well DH has just taken him to the vets and I know he won't be coming back.
