Hello Campervanchick, where did you read about the £25,000? I've just spent ages looking through the website and various terms and conditions and I can't see any mention of any maximum balance at all.
Although I was sure it was £30,000 maximum maybe theres no limit at all now?

Absolutely, I will check. Thanks for checking it out for me. I couldn't understand why there would be such a limit. Major blonde moment I guess.Campervanchick

Thats alright. Good. So I can transfer all my ISAs to A&L then. By the way my first transfer went through quickly without a hitch and I only lost 1 day of interest!0

By the way I just tried to take out an ISA for current year 2005-2006 and website told me it's too late to do it online. You have to do it in a branch! DOUBLE DRAT!!0

Yes but when they send the cheque from your old ISA provider to the new one theres a delay for it to get there in the post and it may also need clearing time.
My transfer from N&P to A&L was great only one day lost. But I've got a transfer from Coventry happening at the moment. Coventry sent me a letter on the 29th March saying they have sent the money to A&L, but A&L say they haven't got it yet!
This is the problem!!0 -

Do you think in this day of modern technology, they send the money by post?? Surely they use some form of electronic transfers!!!!0 -
I think it goes has to be done by cheque -- its in the ISA rules. Crazy!0
