My family are squash monsters we definatly dont get enough water and currently getting through 3litres of squash a week.
So want us to drink more water.
Our water from tap is quite hard and not overly tasty would a filter solve this problem?
I must admit I prefer bottled mineral anyone know any cheap good ones?
Any tips on making water more tasty particuarly for my 3year old did think maybe a slice of lemon or lime in her drinks bottle might liven it up im not overly keen on flavoured waters myself.
None of us keen on sparkling but did consider sparking with fruit juice to give my daughter a more healthy pop.

Life Water is an ethical water that donates to charity (worldwide water aid charities) for every bottle you buy and their 500ml bottle starts at £0.39p ish where you can find it. I think the 1.5 litre may start from £0.70-£0.80p? Generally found in shops that support ethical/organic food...
I flavour water with lemon or lime, very nice and not too sweet. Or sometimes I get Robinsons (the peach or pear ones are nice).MFW #185

A water filter will help -we have hard water and run two filter jugs constantly - we keep them in the frige too so the water is always lovely and cold (which makes it taste nicer anyway IMO).
The filter jugs were around £4 each and the filters are around £3/4 for 3 in wilkinsons. They last us just over a month at a time so not a bad price......we also only use filtered water in the kettle and coffee machine.
As long as the squash your drinking is well diluted then it's still mainly water and therefore better than caffinated or carbonated drinks."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
If you want to support Arfican countries get water I'd not go for Life water, this for example http://www.theadamsbros.co.uk/our_charities.htm provides 200 times what 'life' does. I'd rather use a water filter (or lidl/aldi/tesco value if I bought bottled) and donate what I save directly to projects which will provide a lot more support. One day I might be more organised...........

Does it still taste bad when chilled in the fridge? I find that obscures the taste of my local water. (Fair enough if it doesn't! I'm not claiming I know what your local tap water tastes like!0

Thanks everyone for postsplum pie its my mum moans our water too hard compared to welsh water being in bristol would have thourght it comes from same source but maybe not as most of birminghams water actually from wales.
If filters that cheap will give it a go i prefer water chilled and with ice but daughter likes water room tempersture and im trying to get her onto plain water as we get through so much squash and she says she always thirsty.
As for me and oh increase our intake to make us more healthy really.pad by xmas2010 £14,636.65/£20,000::beer:

we have a water filter but I find that chilled water takes away the hard water taste (even when not filtered)0

I use a Brita filter and find that its fine, and chilled water is just as good as buying the bottled stuff0

We only use filtered water in the kettle and coffee machine too, and for cooking with. But I keep one jug on the worktop at room temperature for these. I must be getting very OS in my old age, it suddenly occurred to me it was costing money to cool the water, that was then costing even more money to heat up again
I have very hard London water which tastes lovely and *clean* once it's been filtered. All that plastic used for bottled water does concern me for home use, even though we can recycle the plastic. That said, yes I do use bottled water when I'm out and about, but often keep the bottles to refillYou never get a second chance to make a first impression.0 -

How much water are you drinking each day?
The fashion seems to be to keep drinking throughout the day even when travelling on public transport and so on.0
