Upgrade thoughts please

Hi,

on 12mth contract with O2 atm about to run out. I dont want anything more than 12 months contract so obv looking elsewhere...

I am stuck between these three offers

LG Secret(12mth stay with O2)
400x Minutes
1000x texts
£25PCM £300PA

Samsung I8510(Orange 12 month)
600x Minutes
700 Texts
£40PCM with £70 cashback, 6 months half price = £290PA ~ £24PCM

Samsung Pixon (Orange 12 month)
600x Minutes
700 Texts
£40PCM with £70 cashback, 3 months half price = £350PA ~£29PCM

The I8510 is mighty tempting but is a clearance(14 day returned handset), what do you guys think of these deals?

I'd go for the last one, as the Pixon is the latest phone out;).

Though you don't like the idea, I think you might look at an 18 month deal at O2 retentions. See the adjacent thread for recent deals, but you should be able to get 600 minutes and 500+ texts, free internet or other bolt-on, free My Europe Extra (incoming roaming free in Europe, etc), free or cheap landline broadband if available in your exchange, choice of phones, £20 a month.

I agree- if you want to have a top end phone you will now have to go on an 18 month deal, it usually works out cheaper for what you get.

Yes, but for what you are stating, £20 for 18 months ~£30 for 12, and i'ld rather a new phone every year...

Current contract is £35 for 400min/600txt and i'm happy to make it even just £5 cheaperpcm...
