Hi,
I currently have madasafish broadband which is not the best value out there. The problem I have is that a phone wire needs to run to my pc from the phone socket, but this is not very convenient as my pc is a long way from the socket.
Is there an easy solution to my problem?
Would having the BT Hub be an answer? I think I just need to connect it to the phone line and then it works wirelessly to my pc?
Any advice would be very helpful - thank you.

Hi,
I have this modem at the moment
NETGEAR DG834G Wireless-G ADSL2+ Modem Router
Does that then means I can just plug this in the phone socket via ethernet cable and can then connect to internet by using a USB Wireless adapter (which I already have too) plugged into my pc?
Sorry to sound dumb on this.0 -

The Netgear DG834G plugs into the phone socket using an RJ-11 cable. You can then connect the router to your PC using an Ethernet cable (wired) or by using a wireless adaptor in the PC (wireless) or a combination of these methods, depending on how many PC's/notebooks that you wish to connect to the router. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
.... then connect to internet by using a USB Wireless adapter (which I already have too) plugged into my pc? ...
You're already using a wireless modem? Otherwise, why do you have a wireless adapter for?
If you already have a wireless adapter and not using any cables, just move the wireless modem next to your phone.0
