not really a recipe as i make it up but here's the gist
chop up a few sweet spuds and a butternut squash plus an onion. cook until soft in some chicken bovril stock(use veg stock if you're a veggie) I add a few mixed herbs and seasoning then I blitz it with my stick blender, taking some of the liquid out as I like it nice and thick . Thats it really! very nice and tasty. DH loves it too.

Evening all,
Or is it still afternoon?
Anyway iv not long woke up after dinner i read my book for a while and then had a nap for an hour and a harf!!!
The beef cooked lovely and the onion gravy was great. This was the first time that i cooked the bristet in the slow cooker and i was inpresed! willl do this again.
I had two joints of brisket from the bucher on friday for £5. both a good size.
The joint today has done two meals for us and the cats have had some to. There is also enough left over for dinner tomorrow night. Might do it in a stir fry? not really sure yet.
Iv got to go out in a bit to pick the twins up from my moms and dads. Thay have been there all afternoon. Which gave my wife a chance to sort there cloths out that no longer fit.
And there are loads of them. We now have bags of stuff that no longer fits.
So what we inted to do is seed some of it to the charty shop. and sell some of it on ebay. All the very tiny prem stuff that we have got (the twins were born at 30 weeks) We shall send to the charty shop so that local people who have prem babies can buy. (Our local hospital has a neo natel ward)
All the prem and very tiny cardies and hats we shall send to our local neo natel unit as thay can use them there.
And all the other stuff we will sell on ebay. The money off this will go towards more stuff for them. And some we shall pay into there saving accounts or there Child trust funds.
Anyway im off to get another coffee to wake up a bit more have a great evening
Enjoy yourselfs:jYou can have everything you wont in lfe, If you only help enough other people to get what they wont.:j0 -

Hello everyone,
Been really busy, so no chance to post or read, so i do hope everyone is well, not too cold and enjoying getting ready for Christmas!!!!
Nothing much been happening here, busy working, and thats about it really. I have the baby here everyday, which is why i no longer have much computer time, but i do enjoy having such a LO here (shes 9 months old today!) and when i do have my computer time, im entering comps - not won anything much recently but having wrapped all the Christmas pressies now, seeing how much ive won (or bought via a win) it is def worth all the effort ive put in!
Of course, im one of those really annoying people who is all ready for Christmas (pressies bought and wrapped, cards written and most given out/sent, ive even got all the food ready), the decorations all went up last week and Sunday afternoons are now a proper family time, where we sit and watch a Christmas movie (last week was Elf, today was The Santa Clause) with a mug of hot chocolate - its lovely and really gets us in the Christmas mood - can you tell i love Christmas!!! I will be popping into town tomorrow, and i might pick up a few more pressies for my 2, but if i dont buy anything else its ok, im happy with what ive bought/got them. Have to go in as one of the glass in my glasses has fallen out, so i need to get them fixed - so thought i would have a bit of a look round whilst i wait for them - hopefully there might be some bargains in Woolies!!! Hopefully it wont be too busy, i hate shopping in December, and fighting the crowds (why im so organised) but by going in first thing, im hoping it will be ok.
Today, we had roast chicken for lunch, and completely non OS, tinned soup for dinner!!! I bought them reduced in Tesco yesterday cos they were a bit dented and it was nice to have something quick and easy. Ive also had a good clean upstairs, and just need to hoover downstairs and the stairs now and i will have a nice clean house for all the children to mess up next week!!
Ok, im off to ice the Christmas cake now - using royal icing this year instead of ready roll, so hopefully it will work out ok as ive never used it before!!
Hope everyone has a lovely evening,
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -

URGH - Totally exhausted. I've spent all of yesterday and today preparing for our school xmas bazaar. Its been one heck of a long weekend. The super thing is that despite the credit crunch and our slashing of prices we had a massive turnout and although the finla count hasnt finished yet I think we have made a super profit considering how we are all struggling financially.
So its now 7.15, my 3 kids have been in bed since 6.40!!!!! DH is asleep and snoring in the bath. I am sitting here with a large glass of wine ( a tombola win!) and am fighting off sleep - will be in bed soon.
