turning off at mains

Will I do any damage to my pc by turning off the mains power after shutting down correctly? ;)

    wont do any harm at all if you shutdown correctley.
    btw, why would you want to turn off mains? it isnt going to make a diffrence

    It will make a tiny reduction in power consumption as there is always a small amount of power to the board.

    It also removes a potential fire risk.

    I always switch of at the mains once my computer has shut down.

    Powergen had a multi point (four gang I believe) power strip that once you powered off your PC would also power off your printer,speakers and anything else connected to your PC - good idea I thought

    My pc, monitor, speakers, printer, scanner, adsl gateway etc are all on surge protected extension sockets and I always switch them off at the mains last thing at night.
