Will I do any damage to my pc by turning off the mains power after shutting down correctly?

wont do any harm at all if you shutdown correctley.
btw, why would you want to turn off mains? it isnt going to make a diffrence0 -
It will make a tiny reduction in power consumption as there is always a small amount of power to the board.

Powergen had a multi point (four gang I believe) power strip that once you powered off your PC would also power off your printer,speakers and anything else connected to your PC - good idea I thought0

My pc, monitor, speakers, printer, scanner, adsl gateway etc are all on surge protected extension sockets and I always switch them off at the mains last thing at night.0
