I saw this story about a woman who imports designer kitchens from South Africa and sells them for 30% less than UK prices. Could be good for money-safers who want a good quality kitchen! Cat http://www.homesandbargains.co.uk/article.php?article_id=81
find Howdens near to you go in with your quotes and ask them to beat the quotes you have. HOWDENS are trade arm of MFI. I ordered my kitchen from them,(not a joiner or in building trade)Its a Schrieber kitchen, would have cost well over double had I got it from MFI. You could always ask them about a fitter. They may be able to recommend one But still get quotes and recommends.
We are having our kitchen done and got a quote from Magnet. The price they quoted was 55% off during the sale. However, visited brother-in-law in Birmingham who was dead chuffed with his new kitchen and he put us on to The Kitchen Factory in Birmingham. 0121-327-3773. They took Magnets plans and greatly improved on them and were able to be fully flexible as they make the units themselves. Even with paying for the fitters to be put up in a b&b ( we live in Bucks ) the quote was nearly a third cheaper and this was with solid french oak. Also, they could not have been more helpful.
Everything you need is out there - you just needto ask..................:A
