  • No dierespects intended and i wasnt the ebayer who sold this car but my husband had his foot run over by a fork lift truck at work a couple of months ago.

It crushed every bone in his foot, caused massive nerve ending and muscle damage and the best case scenario is that he will need special made boots and crutches to walk on for the rest of his life. At the moment he cannot walk at all on it and surgeon is not sure if he ever will and if it ever gets damaged again they wont be able to repair it due to the extensive damage already done sadly.

My husband was told by his surgeon he may not be able to ever drive again and definatley not a manual car so i can see this being true and to be honest not a laughing matter either really!

Exactly. It's common to say, 'Genuine reason for sale', so that the buyer doesn't think the car's being got rid of because it's a lemon.

It would probably have been better to say nothing than put down something dubious.

But would you take his word for it, either way? No one ever says, "I'm selling this because it's crap" or "I'm selling it because I stole it". I see no point in people saying, "Genuine reason for sale". In no way does it change the quality of the product.
