BB, we've got a tree a like that, it's stayed in its box for the last 3 years
Bah Humbug!
The last year it was up, I couldn't face taking it down, so just stripped off the decorations and left it there for a couple of months
Z, that was cheerful reading, I still can't get my head round the idea of getting the banks to lend more and pass on a reduced rate, when they still have to pay savers fixed interest rateswasn't that what Northern Rock tried to do, and look what happened to them.

We'd still be in our pj's too if I hadnt had to go out. What made it worse was that we got into town, and realised that DH's debit card was here by the puter, so we had to come all the way back and get it
Skinty, they're certainly taking their time in sending a reply. They'll probably send me summink horrible, right on Christmas so I cant do anything about it :mad:Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:

I'm not going to embarrass myself and tell you how long a real Christmas tree stayed up 1 year about 8 or 9 years ago..........:o

We've been out and about, took some bread to feed the ducks cos noone else seems to bother this time of year. So had free fun watching them, some squirrels and robins - god I sound very wholesome today! just have to go do some baking in a bit and then make the yummy mayflower curry with the remants of yesterday's chicken. And have just realised I have no bread left for DS's packed lunch so back to the shops we go!Mortgage OP 2025 £7050/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

we had one for about 5 years in a row I think, think they usually were around £25 each which isn't very MSE when you add it up. The smell was lovely though and we got a type that the needles didn't drop which was great.

We always had 'real' trees as a kid and I was loath to go down the artificial route but I love it now! No needles, looks great and is actually cost effective.Empty pockets never held anyone back, only empty heads and empty hearts can do that -Peale0

I've had a few real trees but live in an upstairs flat so not a good idea here - maybe if/when I move I'll get one for my first xmas there.Mortgage OP 2025 £7050/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000
