I think a prague city break is probably the scam. Its probably the v cheap flight plus ties you into booking some either overpriced hotel or a hotel where you have to take the overpriced meals.0

Agreed, if a holiday is one of the prizes I could guarantee you that's the one you've "won". There will also be all sorts of conditions attached. All these competitions are scams, unless you've actually specifically entered a competition. As far as I can see they're pretty much along the lines of the random lottery wins (e.g. you've won spanish lottery, only a modest admin fee to change currency and get paperwork through!!!) people get through the post. If you haven't entered the competition, bin it."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

Even "free holidays" offered by legitimate companies come with so many strings attached they are not worth taking up. A couple of years ago Tiscali were offering "free" flights to Paris. But you had to book hotels for a minimum of three nights through their travel company. They were charging about 3 times the price I could have got in the same hotel by booking direct. Also some of these "free" flights do not include taxes and other admin fees, so you end up paying about £80 each. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

The other scam with the holidays is that they say you'll be sent details within three months. One evening you'll get a call telling you your flight is at 6am the next day, the holiday is not transferrable so if you can't make it you lose it.0
