Yes hogshead. Why not copy & paste and print out the wording of the email posted on the previous page, it makes that point clear.

If any store asks how you know don't get tied up in knots trying not to say the internet. Just DON'T say the internet! Say a friend who works at Tesco told you about it. But if pressed as to which store they work at say it's in another county and you're not sure...be vague but not vague about the policy.

I have shown a printed version of the policy instore more than once and never felt embarrassed that I knew. Why shouldn't customers know?

Definitely wrong then. Are you going to complain to Dundee next week, or let Tesco keep your tenner flo?

Descisions, decisions, Dundee might still have my details from R&R ing.

Do you think an email complaint would do? Or should I phone?

I asked at CS when I entered the store and they checked with checkout supervisor whi said no. I got my shopping and presented it at the till, they called a supervisor who said no again. I didn't push it instore as I have had previous run ins with a manager there and I was about to get DTD on some roast crackling.:D

But I will email and complain.

Doubt it- even if they were Tesco coupons, they would only let you use one. Just separate your shopping into two £60-ish piles and try that way, one per transaction. If its refused, you will be able to get back 2 £10 I would have thought but not if it all went through as one. Atleast thats how Tesco NOTW coupons worked anyway...
  • Thanks everyone! Used the Waitrose coupon in Tescos and to my surprise there were no supervisors or managers called. The lad just looked at it carefully on both sides and input it manually without any questions. Fab!Just like handing over a £10 note.
