Just got this leaflet with my Nationwide statement for December:
Better than a poke with a stick...From 1st April, if you pay £1,000 or more a month into your FlexAccount, we'll pay you 4.25% gross p.a./AER on balances up to £3,000. On any balance above £3,000 interest will be paid at 0.25% gross p.a./AER
.....under construction.... COVID is a [discontinued] scam

Hehe, they are going to compete with the banks offering lots of interest on current accounts with this one. You'll get no complaints from me... my flexaccount isn't going anywhere
The best thing is, they won't do an A&L, and the rate won't suddenly plummit0 -
Lets hope the date isnt a sign but good news if its true!0

All they need now is a cash incentive for switching to them and they shoudl have A&L and LloydsTSB licked. If you found my comment helpful, please click the 'Thanks' button below :T0

My statement for December arrived yesterday and there was no leaflet mentioning this change, nor can I see it on the Media part of their website.0

What is their internet banking like?
I already have a Nationwide flexaccount , but its relatively dormant and I'm thinking of migrating my main bank account from Smile to Nationwide to take up this offer. What do you think?0 -
I have banked online with NW for around 5 years and around 9 years in total.
I'm very happy with them and wholeheartedly recommend them.
:beer:God save the King!
I'll save Winston Churchill, Jane Austen, J. M. W. Turner and Alan Turing.0 -

I have had a flexaccount since it started over 20 years ago. I like the fact that I can phone my branch and not a call centre, it provides low overdraft rates and good service overall.
The internet banking is a godsend, very easy to manage my finances and pay bills. I also have an e-savings account with them, which has a good rate of interest for an instant access account, and is managed with my flexaccount.0 -
I've had this account for 4 years now. No complaints except that transferring money in and out online sometimes seems to take a few days. Otherwise a good account especially with the new interest rates.0

I have a cash card flexaccount and got the leaflet through with my statement. I phoned up customer services and they told me that this interest rate is payable to all flexaccount holders as long as you pay in £1000 per month. So even cash card account holders can benefit.
Internet banking is very good with nationwide.
I used it as a basic/bills account and think it is the best around. :j0
