Laptop screen does not come on

The laptop was bought in April and so is surely still under warranty. I have never done anything bad with it, dropped it, banged it so would be so annoyed if something i had paid £550 was broken in that space of time.

Worked when i removed battery and put it back in.
Will chase it up with hp though, whilst the warranty is still live.
