withheld number problem

i have a friend who is getting lots of calls during the night from a withheld number. when she answers the phone gets put down straight away. she needs the mobile switched on because her mother is ill. does anybody know what the mobile companies do about this sort of thing? she has an idea who it may be but cannot prove it. she is on t mobile network, even if she was told the last 2 or 3 digits it would prove suspicion. and she does not want to change her number.any t mobile workers on the forum that anybody knows about?

many thanks

The only option is to report it to the police, they have a network contact team who can get the number from the network, find out who its is and issue them with a warning.
