This time we looked around about 12 and bought the 9th - or when we complete this week.

we looked at two, the first had 3 different wallpapers up the stairs and the second i was was barely through the front door when the guy was telling me about the woodwoom and damp proof guarantees . i also couldn't see myself relaxing in the chocolate brown bath staring at the damp patch on the ceiling.
I know these are just things that can be dealt with but we said blow it and stayed where we are.

I have 21 bookmarked at present. And I haven't sold the property I'm in yet, but I do believe in keeping an eye on what is happening in the market.

Have very specific location we want to move to -just 4 roads. Looked at 8 houses, 4 were in these 4 roads and 4 we also looked at nearby, because the house we wanted didn't seem to be happening. Made an offer on the second house we saw.

As FTB we must have looked at 20+ properties. Second time round we looked at probably the same number. I think as you become more specific on where you want to live, you weed out the no-goers on paper. Also as the value of the property you want increases there is less around to see.

Blimey I think at the last count we had seen well over 30 houses. We were looking in a couple of areas and new what we wanted. We've now found it! I don't think it matters how many you look at - when you find the right one you will know. If you have niggling doubts about it then I would find somewhere else....

I must have looked at about 25-30 in total before put an offer in on a place, which subsequently fell through because there were a lot of problems in the survey... then started looking again and probably saw another 20 before putting an offer in somewhere else (where I am now living!) - definately worth looking at a lot of places to find the right house for you!

2, made an offer on the 2nd one. First didn't have a big enough kitchen or garden for us. I knew the area well though, and roughly knew the layout of most of the houes within the village.
