Thank you waptext - excellent find! I've just ordered a couple for my kids so they can stop hogging mine!:T
Oh and "Well Said" to PJB9000! There are far too many people on these forums who make people reluctant to post due to the possibility of being "attacked" by a fellow poster.
We are all here for the same reason, and it doesn't matter where the deal was sourced. Waptext just posted the deal - how do you know if they got it from somewhere else, or if they just found it themselves whilst browsing for a charger? Do you spend all day flitting between the two forum sites looking for duplications so that you can just accuse people of bad NETTY QUETT?
Grrrrr :mad:0 -
Thanks OP
I think unless you have seen it on another thread on this site (maybe in the wrong place) then you shouldn't have to say what the source is, you've been good enough to pass it on to us when you could have just got the offer yourself and not bothered:heart: Think happy & you'll be happy
I :heart2: my doggies

If I find a deal that helps, I thank the poster, irrespective of where it came from. Even if they found it on another site, they've gone to the trouble to post it. Do people really just try to collect "thanks" just for the sake of it? I only use 'thanks' as a guide to see whether what I've posted has been useful or not, so I can try to post things which ARE useful.
Let's not forget that public sites are just that - when people post they know they're putting something on the web for the whole world to read, not to limit the information to a certain set of people.0 -
Dont give a hoot where it comes from just grateful for the poster taking time out to type it on here to help others,cheers.....:hello:Time2start a new year diet for a new me:j0

Thanks to op for posting but I was just about to go for this but realised there is nothing X-press about this charger, read the specs and it takes 19hrs or approx 10 hrs for only 2 batteries to charge- as detailed below
Details
This Uniross compact battery charger is specifically designed with high drain devices such as digital cameras in mind and will charge 2x 2300mah batteries in approximately 19hr.
The Uniross X-Press Mini Compact Charger is a compact, pocket size charger that includes 2 x AA 2100mAh Uniross ultra high capacity batteries.
Specification
- Average 10 hour charge time
- Charges AAA & AA size batteries
- A compact, pocket size charger
- Includes 2 x 2100mAh Ni-MH AA's
- Compact design for 2 batteries
This seems a better option at the same price, comes with AAA's tho and will charge both AA and AAA'S like the above but in a maximum of 4 hours!

Im still undecided which to go for, just considering,,,, any advice??

Funky Feet - the one you posted the link to is supplied with 900mAh batteries, the original one is 2300mAh which will last longer in the device you add them to before you need to recharge them, and also remember rechargeable batteries are normally good for a few hundred charges, so overall the first one is more suitable for high drain devices, but the secon one is a good deal for batteries for the remote control, they can be recharged quickly then re-used.
I ordered the first one, we ised to have a 4 battery charger, and have rechargeables for most things - bought them cheap in Tesco a couple of years agoMember of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19
Balance 19th April '07 = minus £27,640
Balance 1st November '09 = mortgage paid off with £1903 left over. Title deeds are now ours.0 -
10 hours is about what our charger takes if the batteries are completely flat, but then they last a long time even in devices that drain power like digital cameras, etc. And 10 hours is only overnight every so often. It might sound a lot but it isn't.
Like ailuro2 says, the 900 are better for low-drain devices like remote controls but for things like digital cameras etc you'd be better with 2100 or 2300 or higher.0 -

I also saw how long it takes to recharge them - very slow. Does it then switch to trickle charge when they're full? I've a Phillips travel charger that charges most battery sizes in about an hour or so, was more expensive though. You pays your money, you takes your choice.0 -
And yet despite all your views, thoughts and principles, you're here in this thread aren't you, frightened to death that you might have missed out on a bargain if you hadn't opened it.
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1286675People like you make me sick. I'm grateful to the original poster, even if you aren't. Why don't you do yourself and people like me a favour and keep your views to yourself. We aren't all as in the know or genned up as you are.I frequent and post on a number of messageboards and I can honestly say posters like you make me think twice before I post anything on here. You really do remind me of the expression "pc gone mad". It shouldn't be like that on here - we all want a bargain don't we, and should be allowed to post about one if we find them without criticism or ridicule.

Essentially, once something is posted on MSE it disappears much quicker. Some people don't like their posts being taken and posted on MSE, and most sites assert copyright over posts in their forum, although I'm not sure how you can assert copyright over a bargain! :rotfl:I wonder just how much you've benefited from this site in the past - maybe you ought to think about that before expressing your elitist and draconian viewpoints!!!! :mad:Next time I find a bargain I might just keep it to myself instead of sharing it with people like you.Cordy wrote:If I find a deal that helps, I thank the poster, irrespective of where it came from. There definitely are some people that really care about how many times the thanks button is pressed. Just look at how many members put signatures saying things like "If you like what I put, press the thanks button"!
Apologies for the long post, but in conclusion I will continue to report spam, to report affiliate links where I am certain it IS an affiliate link (unless posted on the referrals board), and to mention the source of deals here if the OP doesn't acknowledge it and I know where it came from. If that offends people, I am sorry. Thanks to all who post constructively.
Have an A1 day!0 -
I think you have far too much time on your hands!!!!0
