I NEVER mention where i find items and couldn't CARE less if anyone else mentions where they find items , the important thing is to post grab it quick items and not to go round telling other people what they should or shoudn't do , its just another example of the rude unhelpful backchat that goes on in this forums , Maybe you should start your own Rampant chat forum
There are two types of people that take posts from other forums and post them here, without having the courtesy to specify who they have taken them from:

    1) People that post it on here, with their own affiliate link to the product concerned. Not only are they trying to grab the glory (and thanks) that is actually due to the person on the other forum that made the discovery and was kind enough to post it, but they are also trying to gain financially by being paid for introducing customers that end up buying the product.

    2) People (like you) that have a desire to increase the number of thanks that they receive, and feel that if they mentioned that it had been "borrowed" from another forum then they may not receive as many clicks of the thanks button.

I didn't make the rules of netiquette myself, or the laws of copyright for that matter, but I do try to follow them as far as possible.
Thanks to all who post constructively.

maybe some of us dont go on the other forum so to me the one who found this deal is waptext and has been kind enought to share it with us
  • Geez all this moaning! If the person wants to post where they found it they can, if they dont, they dont! As long as it is a good deal and not already posted on THIS site, who cares!

I'm just about to purchase it myself now, thanks! :)

And yet despite all your views, thoughts and principles, you're here in this thread aren't you, frightened to death that you might have missed out on a bargain if you hadn't opened it.

People like you make me sick. I'm grateful to the original poster, even if you aren't. Why don't you do yourself and people like me a favour and keep your views to yourself. We aren't all as in the know or genned up as you are.

I frequent and post on a number of messageboards and I can honestly say posters like you make me think twice before I post anything on here. You really do remind me of the expression "pc gone mad".

It shouldn't be like that on here - we all want a bargain don't we, and should be allowed to post about one if we find them without criticism or ridicule.

I wonder just how much you've benefited from this site in the past - maybe you ought to think about that before expressing your elitist and draconian viewpoints!!!!

Next time I find a bargain I might just keep it to myself instead of sharing it with people like you.

    Who is this Netty Quette?

Seriously, where is this rule you talk of whereby you are supposed to acknowledge some website where you read something you wanted to share? I never heard of it, and even if I had, I'd probably ignore it. I think you did make it up, actually!

Anyway, grateful thanks to the original poster, unless s/he's punting an affiliate link, which s/he doesn't seem to be doing.

Edited to add - I actually took the trouble to look up the word "netiquette." Imagine my surprise to find the following!
    What is netiquette?

Flaming - 'Flaming' is giving someone a good ticking off in a public forum! This can happen on a message board, newsgroup or in an e-mail that is sent to many people, not just the victim. Flaming is considered to be poor netiquette as these types of messages attack the person rather than their argument or opinion.

But despite researching the topic rigorously on the world wide internet for at least five minutes I couldn't find your rule anywhere in any of the collections of rules to do with "netiquette."
