    Hi Bettyr

Love the cheapovers site I wish I had Known about it before I went.

It's great isn't it and though it's fun, it's also very informative?
We meet up with the two lads each June if we're there and they have what is called The Annual Soiree and it's such good fun. A crowd of us meet in the cheapest dive in Las Vegas---their choice---and we have competitions and go from dive to dive. Mind you, they're only dives by Las Vegas standards.

Hi, Anyone know any good deals for Bellagio? I want to go there again for AVN and CES - roughly 6th - 12th January. Best I found so far is $325 a night. I also get one night at casino rate from my last stay. Also any cheap direct flights - Virgin are £538 return.

    Any suggestions?

You do realise theat the Alladin is having major building works done, as it it being rebranded to a Planet Holywood, that is why the room rates are cheep, I walked past there last week and it looked like a building site!! I remember a discussion on LVtalk about this, someone said the the pools were closed, best to phone the hotel and ask about the pools.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

I'm going out in may, and I have been looking at cheap flights. It appers that Virgin are the only airline that fly direct to Vegas (from Gatwick).

I have found a flight for £309 (NWA through dialaflight.com) with various different (but only one) stopovers, compared to £464 (virgin direct).

I need to go out again in July, and again in Oct and the difference was £230 and £240 respectively (same web-sites as before). :T

These were the cheapest I found. :j

    Hope this helps

The Northwest transatlantic legs from Gatwick are likely to be on DC10 aircraft which are often very old (up to 30 years or so) so don't expect personal in-flight entertainment, etc. Although, for a saving of over £150, most people probably wouldn't be too bothered.

Look on https://www.fatwallet.com forums travel deals as they have hotels for dirt cheap. i got MGM Grand for £35 a night last year, and that was for an upgraded room with extras, like meal tokens, etc
  • I have been to Las Vegas 5 times and agree with most things said already. Stay on the Strip and at all costs avoid any impulse to walk from the Strip to Freemont Street, use the bus service, its very good, safe and economical. The last twice I been there I have stayed at the New Frontier. The deal for mid-week was fantastic and there was a free room upgade thrown in. Its loacation is just accross from the brand new Wyatt. Read a good book on Blackjack and play, you only live once. Bye the way if you are brain dead after a few days, hire a car and drive to Red Rock Canyon, it's magic. Good Luck

Did you see the other Las Vegas thread?

Can anyone link me to the other thread?

Saw it a couple of weeks ago and now I can't find it. (Site search says 'Las' is too short a word!).

    Thanks in advance.
