Poundland

Lol, how true!
Seriously, I love the Pound shop, in addition many items are BOGOFs. However, in a pile of such items, only those bearing a separate sticker qualify. Other, identical items without the sticker (you do assume some get missed off) are worth only one for a pound.;) Weird.
I have been stalking the pound shops quite heavily last week or two, though i didn't shop there much before, didn't know there were bogofs-how remiss of me to miss a bargain!! Some great stocking fillers in there0 -
formulae so you can never be overcharged in poudland

x=number of items
y = number of items mutiplied by £1

I've had that when I bought cooker hood filters from Wilko's. It seems such an odd thing to steal ...0 -

Fine as long as you remember how many items are in your basket:rolleyes:
And how many are bogof;)
Don't forget there are people whose maths aren't up to algebra - not necessarily a crime.0 -
Also dont forget that there are many people who are:
1. innumerate / illiterate
2. simply confused or lack the mantal capacity to work things out there and then.
Such people are most at risk of dishonest practices and mistakes.
To you and me it may be easy. To and elderly person with poor eyesight and being rushed through the tills it could be a case of being confused or feeling intimidated.
Being in such a state or lacking the necessary faculties does no deserve a "you deserve it" attitude.0 -

If you'd figured out that you'd been overcharged as you left the store, the manager should have refunded you, however if you come back later on, we can't prove that you hadn't bought two, left one somewhere, and come back to get your money back. You'd be amazed at the number of people who try that."Beautiful young people are accidents of nature, But beautiful old people are works of art."

Thats because they think the packaging will set the alarm off even if there isn't one, they do it at mine aswell......muppets:p
We had one about a year or so ago that pinched the contents of a hair dye box and refilled it with little cat food cartons so that noone knew it was empty, it wasn't until some poor woman bought and got home to find the little 'surprise' and then bought it back that we realised what had happened. Luckily she found it funny along with the rest of us at how sneaky they had been:rotfl:Mummy to Oliver - 28/10/09

Lol, I find it funny when you ring the bell to get other cashiers to the till and someone goes through the door just as the bell rings and they come back because "they set the alarm off"."Beautiful young people are accidents of nature, But beautiful old people are works of art."

Yeah! That makes me laugh, we used to have one way doors, the entrance door would beep really loudly if you took to long because it thought you were trying to go the wrong way out and because the doors were next to each other people going through the exit would think it was them setting it off.
I laughed so much when this young lad stopped dead, turned around with his hands in the air shouting "I haven't got anything!!!!":rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Mummy to Oliver - 28/10/09
