    Hi KTF

    PM sent with referral details.
  • Would everyone recommend this account, or is it too good to be true? I have around £30k that I need to reinvest, this seems ideal.

Is the referral scheme still on?

I would highly recommend it - very efficient and easy to deal with. Plus they always answer the phone right away which is a very welcome change!

The referral scheme is still going too. In fact I just sent you a PM if you would like to use me as your referrer :)
  • Just filling in the form to open one of these and specifically signed up to see if anyone would like to earn themselves (and me) £50 :)

Evening all. I've recently learnt about this seemingly amazing account from these forums.

Now, I like to think I'm not thick - but surely my calculations are not right? Can anyone confirm my calculations are correct please? ;-)

I've read on Investec's website that you can get paid interest monthly. Looking at their current monthly rate of 3.07% gross (2.45%) net....does that mean that one would receive gross interest of £767 in the first month? ...and obviously more next month - if it was compounded?

This astounding account has opened my eyes, and I'm now trying to get together the £25,000 required to open the account.

No. £767 in the first month would be an interest rate of 36.8% on £25,000.

Alternatively, you would need £300,000 to achieve that amount of gross interest at a rate of 3.07%.

Drat! Anyone know how much the interest would be then? I'm soo confused now!
...and perhaps a bit thicker than I thought I was :rotfl:
