Someone on here was looking for cheap flannels, and last night I saw lots of white ones in my Asda for 10p, they weren't great quality but fine for rabbits. If you aren't near an Asda I don't mind buying up the ones I saw and posting to you.

I got mine this morning and they are in the baking aisle on a stand at the end of the aisle. You can get egg moulds, bunny moulds and cupcake making kits - 2 for £3.

This is what they look like:

  • I make Easter Nests & Gingerbread Bunnies/Chicks and give them as gifts.

A bit of cello wrap (or sandwich bags) tied with some easter or pastel ribbon (5p a metre at craft shops) with a home made gift tag recycled from last years easter cards tarts it up a bit.

    Easter nests
Shredded wheat or all bran (supermarket own brand) and melted chocolate done in exactly the way as crispy cakes with a little chocolate mini egg in the centre looks like a little nest. You can even get little patterned cake cases.

    Bunny/Chick Gingerbread
Use an easter-themed cookie cutter and give a couple as gifts.

RECIPE:- Makes at least 35 large sized gingerbread biscuits
    1lb plain flour
    2tsp baking powder
    2tsp ground ginger
    1tsp mixed spice
    4oz butter
    4oz golden syrup
4oz golden caster sugar (or brown if you have)
    1 large egg

Put the flour, baking powder & spices in a bowl
put everything except the egg in a saucepan and simmer on a low heat until all dissolved
pour wet mix onto dry mix, combine with hands or a spoon if you're wimpy and add the beaten egg.
dont worry it will eventually combine

roll out & cut, bake for 15mins at 180c or gas 3/4

freezer friendly but will need kneeding once defrosted and only keeps 1 day in fridge (egg).

have some brilliant cake cases, cookie cutters, sprinkles and chocolate molds for those looking to make their own easter eggs.

I'm so upset, they didn't have any of the easter egg mould sets in my asda! do you think it would work using the plastic packaging that normal easter eggs come in? I might have a try, if not i've still got the egg to eat! lol!

    Pom Pom - Chicken
    2 x 2 inch pom poms
    Yellow felt /or cardboard
    Orange felt /or cardboard
1/4 inch wobble eyes, black felt or just sew on with thread
    Craft glue ?

Make pom poms sew or stick together
Cut 2 wings from the yellow felt/or cardboard and two triangles of orange felt/or cardboard for the feet & glue/sew on
You can also make the beak from felt/or cardboard or just knit 3 stitches cast off & use this
