That's difficult Little Chicken, the cheapest I've seen it is £1 for 100g at QS but as you say you only want a little bit and if you want 4 or 5 colours it's going to add up. Charity shops maybe cheaper if they do a mixed bag or ebay sometimes has mixes of toy wool but as they're usually ends of balls wound you don't always know how much of each colour you're getting.
I don't know if aldi or lidl sell it cheaper or a place called home bargains all the ladies keep talking of.

Hi on ebay someone is selling some little knitted baskets that you can put the mini eggs in.I have emailed her to see if she has a pattern to sell for these or does anyone else no where one is available.I searched small basket in ebay and it came up .Thankswendy x0
