Recommend a trustworthy site to purchase domain name

I'm setting up a website for my Mum and she's interested in paying a small amount to have her own domain name. But when I search for sites where I can purchase them I can't help but feel the potential for being scammed in some way.
Can anyone recommend a site for purchasing domain names, that is preferably UK based, and is only going to cost a small amount each year (I'm thinking no more than £15 p.a.) without bumping up the price once the name is established. If webhosting is thrown in as well then all the better. The site won't get a huge amount of traffic and won't have a lot of content.
Thanks very much.

If this is not allowed please delete my message as I don't want to offend anyone. My son is an honest guy who will help if he can and let you know if not. www.uk2.net
A co.uk name is about £7 for two years at the mo. You'll probably want to pay the extra to remove their banner from the top, but the total doesn't come to £20 for the two years.0 -

I use https://www.easily.co.uk and have nevber had any problems. I doubt if they're the cheapest though. It's my problem, it's my problem

I use 1and1.co.uk, some people have had bad experiences with customer service, but I have several domains with them and have never had a problem.Ubuntu is an ancient African word, meaning: 'I can't configure Debian'.0

Not an answer to the OP, but I have a question too. Do you have to renew with the original supplier, or can you renew elsewhere cheaper?0

I use 1&1 (uk based) and godaddy (US)
a.co.uk domain name should only cost about £3 a year, a .com is about twice that.A waist is a terrible thing to mind.0
