Woolworths 50% off everything

Dint shoot the messenger! I am only passsing on what I have been told today. I was in woolies in Metro Centre Gateshead buying about £80 worth of stuff, the assistant said "I shouldnt be telling you this but what the hell now! we are having 50% off everything tomorrow" I put my stuff back and said Id be back tomorrow.
I told a mate and he said the assistant in his woolies told him the same this afternoon.
Coincidence? Who knows but il be ringing them at 9am in the morning to check and getting myself there sharpish if this is the case!

I'll believe it when I see it, I can't see how they can afford such an offer right now...and I doubt that the administrators would allow it.

There is a thread about this on HUKD. People on there are saying that the 50% off will be on Friday.

Some people are also saying that Woolworth's are reducing everything to £1, and I doubt that either are true, at least not on all stock. I can see a limited range of reductions, but don't expect cheap X-Box's or TV's.

PMSL, the website being down was on the news a few days ago - they've had to take it down while they sort everything out so people don't order things they may not recieve.

Just read the thread on the Grabbit board about Woolies reducing everything to £1 too :rolleyes:

half price is more believeable than everything for a £1. If i could be bothered i would call tomorrow to find out but even if everything is half price i doubt i would go- dont wanna be dealing with getting beaten up if i have anything in my hand
