but the Boots packers really need to have a firm word with themselves - they came in the HUGEST of boxes (easy big enough to have got another 5 or 6 sets in  ) and hadn't been protected at ALL so almost all the bottles had come out and were loose in the bottom of the box. Luckily nothing was damaged but I had to get a pic from .com up so I could work out what was supposed to be where
I know what you mean, every delivery i recieve from .com is bashed and damaged.
I usually only order baby milk and nappies and all the tins are clanging around and dinted when they arrive. In a monsterously big box. Ideal for me as i was saving them as i was moving house, but still its a waste. And no they dont protect them very well, i get one scrumpled up bit of thick brown paper as padding in my boxes.
My DF ordered me 3 tubs of S&G body butter and some vera wang princess perfume, one of the S&G tubs had smashed and ruined all the other items in the box.
I'd give CS a call and say that your not happy with the service as they were all over the place in the box, you might get some points added to your card for your trouble, and they might take note and package them better in future.:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T
:T fortune with those less fortunate :T
:T than themselves - you know who you are!:T0 -
Ventured into town today, absolutely packed!!! No Bourgois sharpeners or tweezers only 1 glass nail file which I didn't want! I managed to pick up 2 x Toni and Guy Men hair gel on the clearance shelf @ £2.50 each and was able to use the £2 bluey for each so only paid 50p each!!! My dad was very happy with his gel!!! I told him they are usually expensive around £6.95 each lol!!! I also ppicked up a JF hair serum for free and a Mitcham rollon for 73p as I used the £1 off voucher - so all in all was quite happy with my little shop! I forgot to see if there were any OOTW's in stock as was trying to get in and out as fast as possible!0

Exactly the same here - one scrunched up sheet of brown paper on top of the items
Well, I called CS (I wasn't going to, didn't want to be seen as a nusiancebut really, it was more luck than judgement that nothing was damaged and that's why I did decide to call in the end) and got a very nice lady who said she took all of my comments on board and said she would pass them onto the 'packing team' and she awarded me 500 AC points for my trouble

Well done scarlett.
It was by luck they werent damaged, imagine if they were, what a waste. As they wouldnt have had any other no7 OOTW to replace them with. So they would have given you them, damaged them and then gone ''oh but sorry we can only refund you and that will take few days/weeks to go back on your card.
(why is it that they can take your money immediately but it takes days / weeks to go bacvk on after a refund?)
Dont forget to take the 250pts vouchers out if the recipients wont use them, better in your pocket than going to waste.:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T

Just realised there are no trains/buses running in West Yorkshire on Boxing Day. How the f**k am I meant to get to Leeds to buy the whole store with my £200 worth of points? Anyone doesn't happen to be driving from Dewsbury to Leeds do they? If so, take me, please! LOL.
*super mega strop with lots of pouting and foot stamping*0 -
I nipped into boots tonight for a few last minute bits (OH met me at lunch unexpectedly so my lunchtime shopping - for his stocking - got put off until tonight  ) nabbed some body/bath oil that I had been meaning to get and forgetting to get lol.
Get home and go to wrap it and notice it's got a best before date on of 11/08
Don't really want to have to go back tomorrow but it is for a pressie - the sensible side of me says it'll be ok to use but the rest of me says take it back and exchange it for one in date! If it was for me I would use it without even thinking about it!
Wished I had spotted the date instore then I could have just put it back
WILL they exchange it?
No OOTW in store either and I was kinda hoping there would be!0 -

hi girls,
been boots and returned some goods as i felt like i dont need them, just been greedy i guess:)
seen first time those girard sets. they quite tatty looking, arent they? and smelt old fashioned, musky and strong.
only bought borjouis tweezer for 89p. felt quite proud of myself not buying, got some money back in my card. am i sad person?
merry xmas, i bet everyone wrapping and hampering etc... busy by now.0 -
I'm really chuffed today. I bought a Philips Sonicare Flex toothbrush HX6902. I'd already looked on .com and saw it was reduced from £149.79 to £58.64. I used the 10% off electrical voucher and expected to pay £52.78 (as advertised on .com). However, it came to £43.97. The receipt shows
£146.61 now £131.94 (which is the 10% off)
saving £87.97
Total to pay £43.97
It seems to me that the 10% has come off twice!:j
Plus I got £1.72 in points. Just realised I didn't get a bluey but hey I've already used a couple of those and have no need for another one.
Merry Xmas Mr B and to all of you too!
Before anyone asks, I had the last one off the shelf (in my local store).0
