Online sale starts xmas eve. Once they can no longer offer deliveries in time for xmas.

It was mentioned a few posts back.

I have stayed up many a night to make sure i get in 1st for the OOTW but the system doesnt change over at 12.01am i have managed to make it to about 3.30am and still no change over, so i have given in and gone to bed. So i have no idea what time the new sale prices will be available on xmas eve. It seems to be completely random IMO.

Bear in mind the items you buy on .com wont be delivered for ages. Im guessing you'll be lucky if you get it delivered before new year but if not your looking at 5th january for standard free delivery.

Please correct me if im wrong.

I have booked one of the ramada rooms in manchester for boxing day night so we will be hitting the sales in manchester on boxing day and the day after, I can hardly wait. Im putting my list together so i dont forget anything which im likely to do in a new much bigger store than the one im used to.

I think Mr B should give us all an honourary degree in boots shopping. Its hard work putting these shopping lists together and working out points / offers / pinkies or blueys / GWP's / 342's etc. Im sure you would put less work in to get a proper degree

    Thanks for the reply :T
I did read about it starting Xmas eve, but didn't know if it was correct or if it was going to start tues etc, as they can't deliver for christmas after Monday at 2PM :)
Hopefully the online sale goes to plan (at 12.01).. and doesnt start at like 4 in the morning

    Thanks again :D xxxx
  • Boots half price sale is not a lot cheaper than the 3 for 2 when you were getting 1500 points, ie 3 x £30 items were £60 on 3 for 2 and getting all the points offers ie. £60 + 1500 points or 10% off and 500 points on a £50 spend makes them £18 each with discount and extra points. In the sale they are half price ie £30 item is reduced to £15 and you don't really need it as Xmas has past, but we all fill our cupboards again, me included. Is it really such a bargain? Of course it's half price and we just have to have it, like the 9 serums I got yesterday with my blueys - WHY because they were free.
  • Went to large Purley Way Branch and all of the OOTW had sold out.

But a v. nice SA did give me 4 blueys in place of 4 purchases I had made earlier in the week when the SA failed to give me any. Bought 5 x JF Serums and 4 Bourjois Sharpners. I also bought a pair hair clippers for my brother and 3 of the Addidas Scarf/Aftershave sets http://www.boots.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10052&productId=844145&langId=-1&catalogId=10551 for my 3 nephews they are going through @ the correct price of £15.66 for 3 and not the £11.75 @ Boots.com

Decided to chance my luck enroute home & stopped off @ a smaller branch (Streatham) and low and behold 3 x OOTW stacked on the shelves and loads of GWP yayyyyy result, had to pick up 4 (in for a penny in for a pound!!!).

SA was friendly and chatty told me I could get 1 GWP for every £20 spent (?!) but didn't correct her, she 1st scanned the 3 x OOTW then kept scanning the GWP until the till beeped, she said that I was entitled to 4 gwp & she was surprised that my total came only came to £50 and praised me on my bargain shop!!! Also got another Bourjois sharpner with my remaining makeup bluey.

She told me how fast the FCUK OOTW flew last week. (Managed to order these online).

All in all a very productive shopping trip - all paid with points and vouchers so a zero spend in total.

Thank you for all the posters who have contributed with the latest Boots offers/glitches your info has been invaluable.

Wishing you and yours a Merry Christmas and Best Wishes for the New Year.:j :T  :A :rotfl:

My mental arithmetic ;) (or maffs as my daughter insists!:o ) has improved no end since calculating BOGOF/34 [STRIKE]2[/STRIKE] 1/ACM vchrs (deliberate errors by Mr B to benefit the savvy shoppers among us :p )

Does anyone else cast an eye at other shoppers baskets and want to give advice on maximising their purchase? :rotfl:

    Hi all,

Didn't expire with man flu, but did feel really bad Thursday night when I kept thinking there were 6 people in bed with me, and then the robots came (last time I saw the robots, I got hospitalised for a week cos I suffered from dehydration, couldn't keep anything in!). Fever's are evil! Feeling a lot better now. Thank God Boots had that huge reduction on Lempsip sachets at my local about a year ago. Normally they are about £4.00, went down to 50p, got about 10 boxes. All gone now mind. We tend to get flu a lot at ours.
Just catching up on the past few days posts ...Mimi, you made me laugh (and it hurt cos Ive been coughing all day)
Think I've had the same flu thing...had two nights of high fever, where I was deliriously trying to work out how to get the OOTW with the maximum number of GWPs for the least cash...it was running over and over in my head till it hurt.....think I've either overdosed on the lemsip and throat sweets or I've been reading too much of this thread :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
