Ampersand - thank you for that, I really appreciate it. I read the posts and just know exactly how they feel. It has helped me to know I am not the only person going through this so thought it would help the OP on the other thread, just to know you are not alone often helps a heck of a lot.

    muchly appreciated x

I have read all your thread and am so sorry for what has been going on, but I hope now you have the keys to your new house you will be able to start afresh and theat the money you are owed comes through to take the worry off you before Christmas and you can at least relax a bit. I relaise you will be off line for a while until you get your internet sorted, but do keep in touch we need to know how the story progresses.

    Good Luck............

You're trying too hard to do too much as it is.
It is ESSENTIAL , for example, that the form-filling etc. for HB AND ALL SIMILAR P/W is done under the aegis and eagle eye of a Specialist Benefits Advisor at the CAB.
It matters not that you are Degree-educated. So am I, but now know better than to submit ANYTHING without that experienced eye running over it.
It truly is worth it, not to have any further delay or forms sent back on a pretext.
ALWAYS ask for a copy and receipt for anything handed in.
Also, I realise you are not alone at night, but lying awake is a pointless mind-churn lying in wait.
It's better, provided your OH is not susceptible to disturbance, to have the radio/book/thermos beside you and ready.

Well, that has stayed with me and it rings very true.

Ampersand, thank you for that. I have decided to let SSAFA and money advice deal with the car company. Money advice are the ones who wrote to them explaining the situation (although I have sent them an email about all the letters that they have sent us). SSAFA are yet to get back to us about any possibility of help but OH is going to phone them in the morning as we need to find someone with a van we can use to move all of our stuff into the new house.

We are beginning the move in the morning! Am really excited. Our tenancy starts in the morning but we have had the keys since thursday and my dad has been in laying some tiles for us. He has also done a little painting and him and my mum have been fantastic, they have gone out and bought blinds for the windows in the kids rooms and the kitchen.

They are taking the kids for us for a couple of days so that we can get as much done as possible before they come into the house. The council lady gave our names to a local charity to see if they can get us a cooker and some other bits and bobs like carpet for the stairs. But they gave us £200 of B&Q vouchers for paint and decorating stuff! So things may just be looking up for us a bit.

Unfortunately we don't have a CAP anywhere near us but thank you for the thought, it really is much appreciated. xx

Morning Bonsibabe. Sounds like you are getting lots of support right now. Really glad that things are looking up for you a bit.
Have you tried freecycle for white goods? While you have a van it might be worth a quick look to see if there is one in your area? www.freecycle.org

I have given away a 3 year old washing machine and fridge freezer on there in the past so its definitely not just old tat that goes on there.

Hope the move goes well xxx
