bed.gif Well all our plans have been hit by me getting The Bug. It's completely floored me. On tablets now from the doctor but off work.

Mum & I were hoping to get to Mr T for the main Big Shop, but that's having to wait a few days. We also need to get to the farm shop for some meat.

Remembered earlier that I need to get the neighbour a present, so ordered via quidco to get something from QVC - 5% cashback:T

Sister's birthday today, so she'll be over later with BIL. Wrapped her present weeks ago and wrote the card, so no chance she'll get germs from them:rotfl:

We've still got all the baking to do for Christmas, but the decorations are nearly finished. Got three bottles of booze to wrap up for friends - need to find the labels though - no idea where they are.

Only 8 days to get everything finished - 9 days till Christmas.

Sorry to hear your still poorly Mel hope your better for your little boys birthday.

I totally agree with you about present snitches. But what I think is worse then people telling you what they have bought you is when they tell you what other people have bought you!!!!

I dont like people who tell me what to buy them becuase that just puts me in the mind frame of ''You'll get what your given and be grateful''.

I love the excitement of opening pressents and not knowing what its going to be.

:ABeing Thrifty Gifty again this year:A

  • Hugs to you germies!

I should be bad today really as I was supposed to be working (I did do some though) and I also forgot to pledge.

But I've finally tackled the airing cupboard - anyone who messes it up will get their arms ripped off :rotfl:.
Found a space for the breadmaker
Cleared out the condiment cupboard (sounds a bit posh but it the one where the salt pepper sauce vinegar spices etc live)
    Tidied the CD hole
    Sorted the kitchen shelves.
Plugged in new mouse - is really cool - glows bright orange and has a kind of snow globe thing in the end - is also much better than the last thing he brought me home which was a high viz jacket!!!

Think that's about enough for today am going to put my feet up with a coffee and knit tonight :p
Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended :p

  • Hello you lovely lot !!
:santa2: Hope you are all doing ok, and those who have been poorly hopefully are on the mend ? :D

Well I just had to come on and fill you all in on how well I am doing...as obviously you have all played a huge part in keeping me motivated over the last couple of months !!

I am pleased to say that I have never been so relaxed this close to Christmas...I seriously am looking for things to do...but IT IS all done...keep thinking I have missed something...but it is all on track !!

All the presents are wrapped,(I buy for 29!) and under the tree and are slowly being dished out as people drop by, or we drop in on people, I have done the big de clutter as we went along so the house is looking pretty good...and nice and easy for next weeks final clean..the cards were all posted a few days into December...I have loads of the non perishable food shopping...and have even managed to fit in a bout of Man-Flu !! Oh and work in between too !!

DS goes to his Dad this weekend, so me and OH will have a quiet weekend chilling out ready for a busy week next week....

So I really am feeling rather smug with myself

Feel free to throw things at me and swear at me for my smug organisedness :rotfl:

But just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone on here...I wouldn't have done it without you :T

I look forward to doing the same again in 2009...but in a more money neutral type way :xmassmile

    oH DEAR!!
My post dsappeared from yeserday (or was it late Sunday??)

It was a really long one too!

Everyone sounds so busy and organised thing here have gone to pot!! I was poorly half of last week so didn't get much done today DH, DD and DS are all ill and had the day off school and work! so I couldn't go shoppng or sort out any pressies! I'm half hoping they are all back at school tomorrow as I have too much to do and can't do it with them here! I keep having to sit and watch Cristmas films (watched 12 in total now!!) and eat chocolate with them... what a shame!!

Seriously need to wrap lots of pressies check stocking pressied, make a Christmas cake (completely forgot it!!), make snowman soup, reindeer food do a final shop for food except for last minute bits, organise Christmas Eve Party, do teachers pressies, do work pressies, deliver local cards, tidy up, clean ip etc etc then collapse!!

I do feelChristmassy and loving the tree andlights and Christmas songs!

Shame about Quidco but hopefully PML's mate paul will help out!!

Hugs to all and thanks for all your ongoing advice and support this is my fav thread and I save it to the end to read!! xxx
  • Can I just say in regards to the money neutral thingy, we sold my OH's Mont Blanc fountain pen (leaving pressie from old firm)and got £150! At the moment any extra cash from Quidco, Ebay etc we are flinging at the 0% interest credit card that's paying off my newly soon-to-be fitted kitchen.
Also £150 up on sold DS games on Ebay.
    Liking the money neutral thingy;)
