Hello everyone...glad to hear that plenty of you are on the mend again now from the dreaded lurgy..and also nice to see some good news about house moves happening
what a lovely Christmas pressie that is !
I have had a really productive day...did a pre chrsitmas Mr T shop...got everything I wanted...including their 3 for £10 Cava (I'd have this anyday over Champayne...boy I'm low maintenance !)
I now have all my stuff for Christmas...except for the veg, milk, bread etc(was sneaky and went to the back of the shelves to find the longer dates on the cream and pot salad, coleslaw, dips etc...they are all dated a few days after xmas..and will be gone by then!)
I was as happy as Larry wandering round whistling my little Christmas tune...the girl on the checkout was lovely too...really happy and friendly and obviously a Christmas nut, as she didn't swear at me when I told her I had hardly anything left to do :rotfl:
I just intend popping out Tuesday to get the veg...am going to do a big clean over the weekend, then off to WinterWonderland on Monday with DS, and friend and her kids....then the final countdown begins....
I CAN'T WAIT !!!!! :T0 -
hi everyone, wooowoooooooo.............work finished for xmas....
finished work earlier than expected and really in the mood for cooking/baking.(it dont happen very often!). So i rushed in and already i have a banana cake, fruit loaf in the oven and a veg soup and ham boiling away on the hob. When cakes come out i want to get the jamtarts and mince pies in. some will go straight i the freezer ( or they wont see morning) and others in the tin for us and visitors at the weekend. Decided to do the sausage rolls fresh on xmas eve.
After i have done with that little lot i will have to do the general house work (everywhere is a tip again), put on a few loads of washing and hopefully tonight wrap some more stuff. So all at the moment going swimmingly.
jamtart- congratulations on the house, was hoping you would get it in the end, lots to look forward to now in the new year.
scatty mam- lovely little girl, real cutey,
off to check on the cakes and put the kettle on.

I'm on the good list today!
I bought wrapping paper and cards for the birthday stuff, an impulse gift too - and I made an appointment to get a marriage licence and organised meeting the coordinator at the venue I insist upon having. AND my beloved's visa finally turned up so he will be arriving in time for Christmas. We were concerned that he wouldn't get here in time but he'll be here on Sunday!
Happy day - congratulations jamtart, and I'm glad you're mostly all feeling better. Sorry to anyone who isn't - drink lots of juice.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

Hi all, I'm afraid I am definitely on the naughty list, it's been a very long day of not doing much at the office, due to a rotten hangover (I know, I know, self-inflicted, no sympathy!), just got home and treated myself to a gingerbread latte on the way to bring back my chrissy spirit. Seems to have done the trick, it might keep me awake until at least 8pm.
Oh well, all not lost, I'm off to Borough Market tomorrow and will get my last present, only remembered today (a plant or flowers for an elderly neighbour who feeds my dog biscuits through the letterbox every day!), plan to deliver a couple of pressies too.
The off to my SIL on Sunday for more eating and drinking (think I might drive).
Hope you all have a fab weekend, not long now...... :j0 -
Congratulations jamtart! and to everyone else who has finished work.
thanks for putting me on today's nice list even though I pledged not to do anything - that was very easy :rotfl:.
Valued opinions voucher arrived today so now have £20 for Boots sale and seem to have got the hang of bootsing! Spent £41 and got 2250 points back - most of my xmas pressies next year will now be freeeeeeee :j and have enough lightspeed points from amazon for £25 plus toluna voucher means I can get OH all 6 star wars discs for 96p - bargain bargain bargain.
Saw someone at work today who has been on maternity leave and wanted to know how come I wasn't in my usual bah humbug xmas mood - couldn't explain about all you shw would have thought I was extremely bonkers rather than just slightly:rotfl:
Got my secret santa as well - lovely posh shampoo and conditioner (hope whoever it was got it from boots and got loads of points;))- i think someone knows about my shampoo fetishOfficially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended

Hi,
Hope everyone is well & welcome newbies. I'VE DONE ALL MY XMAS SHOPPING  _party_  :j0 -
Hiya everyone,
well i thought i was doing so well. Finshed wrapping the last of my presents eventually:rolleyes:, got round to writting the last of my cards too (apart from work, i've been off poorly and still need to get a list of names:o) and i've only forgotten to buy one for my dad and one for my nana!
So here's my list for tomoro....
Buy card for nana and dad!
Buy xmas choccies (always get these last so i'm not tempted), think i'll look in woolies and see if i can get any bargains
Sort all presents into relevant gift bags
Write list of snacks/veg/pudding i need to get in for xmas day. We are have family at ours for xmas lunch. My mum is in the middle of moving and is having a bit of a nightmare at the moment so i'm trying to do as much as i can but never had people over for xmas before so a bit nervous.
Thats more or less me done then. Just need to cook the xmas lunch and not kill anyone:o

I worry about killing someone cooking the xmas lunch - or any lunch really - cookings not my strong point would rather make a pair of curtains :rotfl:.
OH will be cooking the lunch I will be washing up - shame he uses every pan in the kitchen but I'd still rather do that than cook.
I have never and do not intend to ever cook a Sunday dinner let alone a Xmas one - my talents lie outside the kitchen :rotfl:Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended
