I too ordered the TomTom Go 720 for £115 (inc. VAT) - used find-satnav-deals voucher code for free delivery and used quidco for £4.99 cashback - so, works out £110 for a high-spec satnav with Western Europe mapping. Unit is tomtom refurbished, but looks and feels like new and has the latest map guarantee. Im a highly satisfied customer :-) .0 -
I really like the price of both the garmin and the tomtom one V4 one Martin's newest email. i want to buy one that's got enought memory to download USA and Canada maps. has anyone done that with either of them? thanks for your help.

DH wants a Tom Tom "Go Live" 540 (or 740 or 940 if they are not that much more).
He's prepared to wait till the January sales though.
Anyone seen any good deals on this one?0 -
In response to deborahherron, TomToms have a slot for a memory card and it is that which holds the maps. I have a 2GB card in mine which has Great Briatin and Western Europe maps on it. If you want all of the American states on a card, it can take up a lot of space but you can buy the cards with the maps on them or if you have a big card, you can simply download the maps from the TomTom site - you have to pay though!0

Not sure of the spec but I have just got back from Asda and they are selling Binatone sat navs for £50.0

I don't think recent tomtom ones have a memory card slot. They have internal memory and if you buy a UK maps one then I don't think they have large enough memory for Europe or USA maps and there is no way to add memory. I'd check carefully before buying if you're going to need USA maps.In response to deborahherron, TomToms have a slot for a memory card and it is that which holds the maps. My dad wants a sat nav, but he can't see the smaller screens properly - can anyone recommend a sat nav with a large screen?0

I ordered a tomtom one V4 with 12 months free breakdown cover (don't have to activate this until July 09) and free map upgrade (don't have to activate this until Oct 09) for £86.98 on Cdiscount http://www.cdiscount.co.uk/SoundVisionandSatNav/SatNav/withUKMaps/f-438-178933.html
Ordered on Sunday - arrived on Wednesday.
If you use Quidco you get a further £2.59 back and also you can also pay in three instalments at no extra cost and you also get VAT back which is added to your account for you to spend on the Cdiscount site.
Pretty good value I reckon.0
