Was just going through the PS3 offers. The various packages seem to have been removed from Argos/Empire Direct/etc's website. only shopto.net seemed to still be valid of the ones I looked at.

This seems like one of the better PS3 deals at the moment:

Sainsburys also apparently doing a PS3, Motorstorm : Pacific Rift, Resistance 2, Littlebigplanet for £280 in store. Might check that out as all 3 of those games are highly rated. LBP is fantastic.

Yeah seen that at play,it does seem like the only good deal,,though the sainsburys deal looks better,,might pop into my local and see what they got.

im still kind of hanging on hoping the price may come down or a disco code gets posted for a store..

the cheapests ive seen a PS3 for is £224 delivered but its the 40GB version and comes with no games

Not sure if people are still checking this thread, but we got a good PS3 deal from hmv so I thought I'd share it.
The particular store we went to has seen high demand for the consoles and games, so they had hardly anything left for the bundles so we thought we'd come away disappointed. Instead the sales assistant told us to pick any combination as long as it was for the same value as the original bundle.
We ended up getting the 80gb console, two games, one Blu Ray DVD, an HDMI cable and the PS3 remote, all for £299.99.

They don't do a 40Gb anymore, it's 120Gb or 250Gb, so yes 40 is too small.

It's a couple of quid less than that in GAME with 2 games as well (£247.99 in my local store), so that's an appalling deal.
