A good deal for a DS Lite is at Tesco (instore only).

For £96.97, you get a console and choose 1 game from this selection of 8.

The consoles are hard to come by, but you might get lucky.

If they say the offer isn't on, just ask them to put them through the checkout. The offer does work as I have done it, (much to the surprise of the sales assistant).

The hard drive of the PS3 is easily swapped out (only a screw driver, one screw and about 2 minutes required for change it) and to prove that it's designed into it the instructions come in the manual that's in the box. This does NOT void your warranty either.

i have been looking around recently for DS lite and best one I found was woolies last week but that was by using a voucher which gave 10% discount so cost me £90 in all - no game included though.
Woolies are reducing some of their stock by upto 50% instore I think tomorrow - see Martin's email, might be worth checking out if the DS lites are reduced too!

I'll have a look in Tesco and Woolies as soon as I can.

I found Toys R Us have a deal on their website for a DS plus one game for £107.64. However, when I click on the item for more details about which games etc, it comes up with an error message 'you searched ""turned up 0 results'. So am not sure if that offer actually exists!!
They also have a "DS plus 4 games" bundle for £146.79. Which also won't tell me which games you can choose from. I suppose this is a good deal, what do you think? It's just that I wanted to not spend quite so much at the moment.

I will keep searching until I get the bargain that I dream of!!

P.S. Does anyone know if Toys R Us is on any cashback site (Quidco etc)? That might help!

Thanks for the tip on DS at Tesco. There are still consoles in the Extra Tesco stores including the difficult to obtain red one. They also have £5 off vouchers this weekend and after VAT drop console and game under £90! My neice willnow be very happy Christmas Day.

I bought Wii sports, with Mario cart and one other game for £210 in HMV store. If you speak to the boss you can often choose the 'other' game instead of the fixed bundle choice. I got Wii play so I could have an extra controller instead of Tiger woods or Fifa.

I've found a playstation 3, 80gb console for £289.99 with 4 games. The games can be sold off on playtrade for approx £25 each which will greatly reduce the initial outlay of the console...

Found a voucher on ebay for £5 off as well for 99p, so a further £4 off and if you take out a loyalty card at a cost of £3 it will have £7.25 credit on there so a further £4.25 reduction...
