Don't buy tickets from takethattour.com

Last Wednesday take that released a new tour date in Coventry.
After trying to get tickets on ticketmaster and having trouble getting them I stumbled across takethattour.com and brought 4 tickets for 225 quid.
Maybe it was my hast in trying to get the tickets but I failed to notice the website looked a bit strange as tickets on second glance were avaliable for all dates when I know they are sold out!!
Anyway I was hoping it was an ok website but then 2 x payments for 225 went out of my account. Yeah I know I should have used credit card but unfortunately I used my debit card. The payments went out to Budapest tickets so immediately I knew it was dodgy and I've got more chance of winning lottery than getting those tickets.
Despite 4 emails to the website demanding a refund explanation I've had no response. Logged with my bank to investigate for fraud cancelled card and logged with citizens advice but am not hopeful I will get any of my 450 quid back. Any advice?
Please don't let anyone buy from them. The most worrying thing is that the website is a sponsered link from yahoo, daily mirror plus many more so it makes it look just fine.
I too have been stung by Takethattour.com for around £170 quid.
Bought the wife tickets as a Christmas present with my debit card. When they sent me a payment confirmation link addressed to Mr Robbins (which is not my name) alarm bells started to ring. When I saw that the money had been withdrawn from my account by a company in Budapest I knew that I had been conned.
I would really like to hope that someone somewhere is investigating the matter, as these people will be laughing their socks off.
Lucky for me I wont have to break the bad news to the wife as I have managed to secure a couple of tickets for the concert through ticketmaster, so I will live to see another day.0 -
I to have been conned by these people, I bought the tickets on the 4th November, 2008 with postage came to £294.30 they took the money off my sister in law card on the 7th November, and added another £8.00 to it, for what we don't know. Sent me a confirmation number, and all information etc.I was curious yesterday because I hadn't heard anything and they were for vip tickets on the 3rd July, at Wembley. sent an email from work, last night checked this morning and the email had been returned, then went onto take that this morning, and discovered this site, and how many other people had been taken for a ride.Trouble is they have closed takethattour.com down and reinstated takethattour.net. and it is still up and running, and you can still buy tickets today cus I have just been on the site. Please please please don't do the same as I have and thousands of others if I could get my hands on them I would .............them.get a crime number from the police and ring consumer direct on 08454 04 05 060

My husband ordered 3 tickets from takethattour.com back in December and we hadn't received our tickets so did some investigating over the weekend. Then found this forum so thanks for the info. I have just been on the phone to the police and they looked at the website which now has a list of companies and they wanted to know which company I bought them from. I told them my husband had said it was only one company when he ordered. Has their website changed ? I notice they are now operating under .net. I suppose it is a bit suspicious when there is no phone number to contact the company, but it's not something I've thought of before to be honest.0

Tell them it was the .net site0

Just to let any one know. I had exactly the same situation - the company emailed to say tickets would be given out at the venue. I'd seen something on tv about this and as it was my daughters birthday, the thought of taking my 16 yr old 50 miles only to find no tickets were forthcoming would have been heatbreaking. The email gave me the option to cancel my booking so just for the sake of it I emailed back and cancelled. I nearly fell over when I checked my bank statement and there was the refund!
Someone else I know actually had a phone call 2 hours before the concert and asked if he wanted the tickets. He also asked for a refund and actually got back £20 more than he'd paid.
I definately will not purchase tickets this way again as the whole expereince has been very worrying. But I felt I should be honest and let you know after I'd slated the website.
We made it to the concert with tickets from a wonderful relative -and what a night!!!:TI bought tickets from takethattour.com back in dec when tickets came on sale. I paid on my credit card and got confirmation that it went through and they said the tickets would be through 2 weeks before the concert. I never thought anything more about it as the site looked offical and I was just excited that I was finally getting to see the band for the first time. I have been a fan since I was teenager and never got to see them.
In february I tried to contact the site to let them know a change in my details of where to sent the tickets to but everytime I tried to email them the messages would fail. I tried the site and another company came up instead. At this point I had never seen or read anything about them being a dodgy site so I just thought it was me and waited to see if they would contact me.
On 29/5/09 one week before concert I still hadn't recieved my tickets or any email from them about where my tickets were. I then stumbled over a post on this site and other news reports about the site and found they had shut down as takethattour.com and reopened as takethattour.net.
I contacted them on 29/5/09 and asked them what had happened and they said they hadn't recieved tickets and were expecting them over the weekend. As soon as they had recieved them they would send them out by special delivery to my address on 1/6/09. This never happened.
I contacted them again and they told me that they would be held at the venue for me. By this time I was under the impression that this would probably not happen as they have done this before to other people on other events and it was following the same pattern as what was reported on Watchdog. So by now I had already started to seek alternitave arrangements.
They claim they have done nothing wrong and that in terms and conditions they can hold tickets at the venue but I have emails stating that they will send the tickets to me. Also if I had not found out by accident where they had moved to they would never of contacted me as they hadn't even sent me anything to tell me that they had changed address. They also don't have a uk based landline. All contact is made through email.
I am now left without ticket for the concert and waiting for a refund. Which I very much doubt they will honor as they have not kept the word so far. I only hope someone reads this and can do something about it as Take That's good name and reputation is being tarnished by these people and devoted fans are being let down and scammed of their money.:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:0 -
Just a quickie which may help too. I paid with my Visa Debit card and was told by several people that had it been Visa credit card I would have got my money back from Visa. This is true but Visa also refund on Visa Debit as well. I had a letter form my bank saying they would refund the loss but the company coughed up in the meantime.0

I have booked a ticket for take that for 23.06.09, as of today 22nd I have not received my ticket, nor have they answered any of my emails I rang my bank and had my card that I paid them on cancelled incase they took any more money out of my account which was a inconvienience to me, I had all but given up hope when earlier I had a phone call out of the blue by someone claiming to be from takethattour.net asking me to meet someone outside the venue with my ticket, obviously I am not going to do that and I asked for a refund instead of which they readily agreed to, to my surprise so we will wait and see if anything arrives in my account but I wont hold my breath also I asked for a contact number and was given this in case of any problems I may have with my refund....sounds genuine enough you'd think ! but no one answers 07983 9631420

My wife recently bought some tickets from this website. We started getting suspicious about a week before the concert when we hadn't heard anything (which is now tomorrow). We tried emailing the company but like everyone else got no reply. Then out of the blue this evening we had a call from someone called Gillian saying that there had been a problem with the courier and did we wish to collect the tickets from the venue or have a refund. We opted for a refund as we don't want to risk traveling there to be let down. We were told we had to re-email stating we wish to have a refund, she also left a mobile number which we will try if we don't get the refund but we are not very confident. Will keep you posted.0

I also 'bought' 3 tickets from takethattour.net in January. Took my money - no tickets! And I like to think I am not a fool.....0

I am another duped person.:mad::mad::mad::mad: I bought 4 seated front tier tickets in December from .com after watching a morning breakfast show with Take That appearing. The shows presenter said to get tickets follow the links on the tv website which I did. Takethattour.com was on the site or I wouldn't have used them.
My husband was all for me going to the Manchester concert with my 3 friends and staying over even though he had been diagnosed with a rare formof cancer oly a couple of days before!
I paid for them using a visa debit card but have just been informed by the fraud department of the ******* visa card that it's not fraud and to go to my local branch and fill in a non-fraudulent dispute form!
I also contacted the police and they said it would only be investigated if I didn't get my money back.
I would love to know your views on this as I'm just a 'little' confused. Is there a bit of buck passing going on?0
