The AA does a cash back pre-pay (Spend & Earn) card. A point is awarded for each £ spent. Typically these are worth 0.25% in cash for what you spent or 0.50% if taken in vouchers for a large selection of major stores. Extra points are awarded if you an AA member and / or are spending on motoring related products.

Thank you alanq, but I was looking for something more to do with proof of ID than cashback.

I know but I was replying to kathrel. I have edited my post to make that clear.

Sorry I can't help you with your quest.

I have an O2 Money Wallet with a virtual card number along with a physical card and i have nothing but problems using it. I've tried to buy things from a variety of websites and even a few things over the phone only to have the payment decline. Not a happy bunny.

    anyone else having issues ?

  • Hello,

Just wondering if prepaid cards show up on your Equifax or Experian credit report? I don't mean the ones that are designed to repair your credit rating, but just the standard ones?

    Many thanks

Those virtual cards are a great idea but all of the ones I've tried I've had trouble with all the way back since Cahoot did one.

I hope one day they will start working.
As an interim I'm using an AA prepaid card but I still think it's possible to go overdrawn somehow in unusual circumstances? (i.e. they mess up and pass it on to you)
Order of events: Banks lose our money -> get bailed out -> were inflating GBP to cover it -> now taxing us -> next will grab your funds direct -> things get really desperate to balance the books. What should have happened?: banks go bust and we lost our money much quicker

    No they don't
  • Hi,
I would like to get pre-paid credit cards for my two children. They are not teenagers. They have received a tablet each as a Christmas gift and would like to buy apps, tokens, gems etc for the games that they play. Rather than keep nagging me I thought it would be a god idea to give them a pre-paid card each.
Is there anything on the market for the younger generation or will I have to take on the cards in my name?
Your advice will be greatly apreciated (my first ever post on a forum)
