advise I need a new phone

I'm in the same situation - been with orange for 10 years and they won't offer me any incentive to stay - have now sent me my PAC number so I can keep the same number. I want a better phone, preferably with MP3 player and radio, and camera, I currently use about 60-80 mins per month and about 30 texts. My hubby is with 3 and thinks we can get a deal if I join and he upgrades. He has been with 3 for nearly 2 years and is finally pleased with them and his phone. I would really like the Sony Ericsson K608i or W550i. I don't want a big phone as I am used to a tiny light Nokia which I only want to change for the hell of it really (quite like my gadgets). I am also tempted by O2 who seem to offer quite a good deal. The whole thing is a minefield and I don't even really know why I have chosen the Sony phones except that I have heard they are good. My hubby is a heavy user of his mobile (we pay up to £150 per month for his business phone) so I don't know if this will affect any deal we get with 3. We are planning to visit the 3 shop tomorrow morning so any advice tonight would be great!0

I left T-mobile this week too after six years of shoddy service. They weren't that interested in keeping me either.
To the OP - you can easily transport your number by getting a pac code from T-mob once you know what network you want to move to. I've gone to 02 and they seem pretty good so far.Not buying unnecessary toiletries 2024 26/53 UU, 25 IN0 -
pinkfluffybabe,
I was with Tmobile for 12 years. Now also with O2. Just waiting for 12 months until I can get my hands on a delicious retention tariff, LOL...and then the window licker said to me...0 -
I've done the same and going to Virgin. Bought a Panasonic VS6, 2mp camera for under £100 on Vodaphone and looking to get it unlocked.

I've been with Virgin for years. Their customer service is excellent and their coverage fine except on the Isle of Wight, and their network does all I want it to.
BUT if I were to choose a company based on advertising, I would definitely not choose Virgin - their adverts are completely off-putting.0 -
thanks are now going to look at 02 but what do I do about keeping my old number?0

You need to call T-mob and ask for a pac code - this will be valid for 30 days.
Get your new phone set up with your new network, then phone them with the pac code and they will transfer the number for you. Think it takes a few working days for this.
Once it is done, you use your number as usual except your contract is now with someone else. Not buying unnecessary toiletries 2024 26/53 UU, 25 IN0
