To be fair, the "flats" are one room bedsits requiring complete modernisation and the prices are guide prices for an auction. You cant tell what they will go for as yet.
Exactly, they are complete s.it holes in complete s.hit holes....They would never sell anyway.
Prices are rising...rents are rising...as they always do..0 -
My monthly Zoopla email landed in my inbox today, and has informed that that the houses in my area that have sold, did so on average at 2006 prices - which are still quite high!
So I'm really not convinced this is as bad as it will get (I bloody well hope not anyway), because in truth, it's not that bad at all.0 -

I hope you are joking.
I also hope they are sh.t holes for 20K in London, or things really are a lot worse than everyone knows about.
Do you really think they will never sell for 20K? Then you are contradicting yourself. After all ”Prices are rising...rents are rising...as they always do”0 -
I think Tass was being tongue in cheek?
But yes, they are complete s.hit holes on that auction site at those low guide prices.0 -
Most of the sub-100k properties on websites are "Shared Ownership [strike]Scams[/strike] Schemes".0
-
Yes, I think a lot of people are being misled by that too. You think oh, nice place for £120k and in the small print its for 30% share0
-
I'd like to be able to remove "shared ownership" properties from my search, but the current websites don't allow this.0
-
Foxtons have a habit of not even putting shared ownership on some of their ads. though clearly the property is in the scheme - I guess once you ring up they give you the hard sell re shared ownership options.0
-
No all these 20 or 30K flats in London that were quoted are not shared ownership. Yes there are a load of shared ownership places that are on from desperate sellers. The problems being involed with this kind of thing are endless. Imagine sharing with an awkward partner, I just cant believe anyone would be stupid enough to get involved with these "Shared Ownership Scams Schemes".
How will negative equity affect these poor souls? Of course they just want to get out even at great loss to themselves.0
