Does the Wii come with Scart Leads? (cant remember of the top of my head) if so you need to put the TV on one of the AV channels
Savings Total so far for 2026: £0/£10,0000 -
yes comes with a scart lad but the tv is to big for me to move toget to the socket, so im useing the av leads0

I'd double check they're in the right sockets and pushed in fully.
If it still doesn't work I'd take try it on another TV to try and see if it's a problem with the Wii or the TV.
I'm trying to remember what I had to do to set ours up. I don't think you should need to tune it in if it's on and AV input, just switch to the appropriate one. It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die0 -
how are you switching the tv to the av channel0

yep boubled checked all the wireing all in the right order, the tv goes to av automatically i think, but have put it on av with the remote but i only get the same blurry orange line doing that. cant do much with it at the moment kids are back from school, so will try again when there in bed, but was hopeing to have it all set up and running for christmas day, have found a spare scart socket at the back of the tv do you think it will tune in better with scart or doesnt realy matter.0

You dont tune anything in for the Wii, just select the appropriate AV channel from the remote. The only things you tune in on the TV are anything like a freeview box that uses the RF (tv aerial) connection. As long as all the colours match up, switching to AV should work. Some TV's have multiple connections per AV channel, i.e. scart composite and scart RGB. Have a look through the manual to see if this is the case. You definitely do not need to tune anything in.0

The red, yellow and white connectors at the front?
You shouldn't need to tune anything.
As above
Plug the leads into the respective phono sockets (usually at the front or side of the tv~ coloured the same, yellow, red and white)
OR
The leads into the scart adaptor (though it wil probably look worse, so I personally wouldnt bother), and into a scart socket
Power everything up
keep pressing the AV button on yout tv remote to CYCLE through the various AV inputs until you see the WII one (Probably be the LAST one):idea:0 -
thanks will try that later, the thing is dh would have this done in a few minutes but he doesnt now were getting a wii either i keep telling him we cant afford one,0

this is probably why i cant tune it in if it doesnt need tuning in:rotfl: luckly my av sockets are at the side of the tv so wouldnt look unsighly. As above
