MINI ONE v MINI COOPER

I have looked at the one and cooper versions, but not sure which to get.
Is the cooper really worth the extra cash or is it just street cred?
Hi Pegginout
Found your post because I'm selling my mini cooper, but wanted to offer some advice.
The Cooper in real life isn't a super-fast as the reputation carries. That's reserved for the Cooper S.
It's the brake horse power (bhp) that's the main difference
One - 90
Cooper ~ 116
Cooper S ~170 I think
In real terms, that makes the Cooper much more responsive and enjoyable to drive than the One. The Cooper S is more like a golf GTI, where the cooper is just a fab day-to-day car.
If anyone knows where the best place to list a second hand mini cooper is, I'd love your advice.

The One is gutless but has pretty good economy. The Cooper is better but the MINI is a lardball at the best of times. The man without a signature.0

Just make sure you add the Pepper pack if your ordering a One new. The extras you get your likely to want anyway, most people do, hence it makes it so much easier to re-sell later. Alloys, Climate Control etc.
I get a Mini One 1.4 when mines in for service. It has a decent level of performance without "setting the world on fire", I'd want a Cooper S myself
