If you don't need to make more than 4 withdrawals a year then this guaranteed rate looks quite good.

Is this 60 day promise written down anywhere or is it just a verbal promise? I've looked through the terms and conditions and all I can find is a statement that, if the rates change before the account is credited, they will phone or contact you for extra instructions.0 -
it's generally verbal only but comes from a pre-written script that they read out to you when you apply. Optimist has asked for it in writing and posted the email text somewhere around here. I have asked them to send me a letter with it in black & white.0

Verbal. I always note the date, time & person I talked to when I get assurances that are verbal-only. Since they record all calls, there would be a record of this. I think they would be in big trouble with the Ombudsman if they were telling people one thing and doing another.I want to move to theory. Everything works in theory.0 -
tescos the best one but has terrible reviews on here. other than that i think they are all pretty much the same
good rate but a pain in the bum to set up. i wouldnt open it now if i knew then what i do now, wouldnt recommend it. The sainsburys instant access online account was great service, easy to open, easy to use, just a shame that the account interest has plummetted so low comparitvly else i would recommend themMFW#105 - 2015 Overpaid £8095 / 2016 Overpaid £6983.24 / 2017 Overpaid £3583.12 / 2018 Overpaid £2583.12 / 2019 Overpaid £2583.12 / 2020 Overpaid £2583.12/ 2021 overpaid £1506.82 /2022 Overpaid £2975.28 / 2023 Overpaid £2677.30 / 2024 Overpaid £2173.61 Total OP since mortgage started in 2015 = £37,286.86 2025 MFW target £1700, payments to date at April 2025 - £1712.07..0 -

Rate now 4% for Halifax ISA, but still looks good. I'll give it a try now I've got 60 days grace. I just hope FSCS gets a move on with my Icesave ISA cert.0
